Now perform the act of summoning and drawing in. Perform the work of smearing and staking the phurba. Also accomplish the three actions of pressing down, burning, and throwing. Press the small spirit under the bed. Or press it under the threshold. Stake it with the phurba of Achala. Place the vajra cross in the center. Also beat the drum of the four activities. Highly cherish the ten wrathful deities. If you do this, it will be accomplished. From the Tantra of Achala, the Wrathful Protector, the fourth chapter, the chapter on nurturing spirits. Then, to the glorious King Heruka, Karma Heruka, the one with a leopard's head, the one with a crow's head, and the assembly of head ornaments, the Bhagavan was addressed thus: King Heruka, how does the secret and rare Dharma arise? How does the profound meaning arise? How are the malicious beings subdued? Having thus requested, the Bhagavan, King Heruka, spoke these words: One should properly protect what is to be approached. The arising of the mantra vehicle is rare. It is like the Udumbara flower. The Buddha of the past, Light Protector, turned the wheel of the mantra's fruit. He did not speak of this at that time, and will not speak of it in the future. Now King Jala has spoken. The Lord of Secrets has also spoken. Thus he spoke. Then, the retinue rejoiced and praised the Lord of Secrets, King Heruka, the Lord of the Assembly with a terrifying voice, saying "Excellent!" and departed.
