03.Title of the Treatise.g2.0f

English

The continuum ends up being ordinary, lacking the key points of practice. Even just foolish meditation loses the essence. Without genuine renunciation arising from the heart, that great meditator is just accumulating dung on the mountain. For the reckless who don't value karma and its results, hoping to become accomplished is the cause of hell. Those who lack loving-kindness, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment, their empty words are like a kite with a broken string. When the inner winds are not dissolved into the wisdom mind, that subtle skill of channels and winds is a heretical teaching. The vows of secret mantra wander in the marketplace. The yoga of renouncing everything becomes degraded. Furthermore, those who hold onto good views and conduct, there is a danger of accumulating the sin of killing others. Even if you strive in practice day and night, please be cautious of these wrong paths. Focus your mind solely on the Dharma and strive diligently. May your continuum be gentle and your inner and outer selves be good. May you not remain ordinary and be without distraction. The desired fruit will manifest. This is the advice given by Tāranātha to the renunciant Kunga Pelden. Auspiciousness! Advice to the official Lodrö Namkha. Oṃ Svasti. Namo Guru. To the Lama who is the embodiment of the Three Refuges, I offer body, speech, and mind inseparable. I pray in the state of equanimity. Bless the faithful son. Some verses that arose in my mind, although they lack order and beauty, at the request of a faithful disciple, arose spontaneously like this. From the spreading out of the Dharma Sūtras and Tantras, although countless methods of accumulating merit are taught, they are all contained in the method of relying on the Guru. The king of skillful means is devout faith. It is very important to be without hesitation. Those who gossip, praise, and slander, wondering whether this action is good or bad, the mind is full of doubt and hesitation. Intense longing and determination are very important. If the mind is single-pointed, it is determination. Not relying on poverty or wealth, high or low, cultivate faith without hope or fear. It is important to pray constantly. Whether meditating, walking, standing, or lying down, never forget the Guru at any time. The measure of longing is found in this. Whether the experience of realization is good or bad depends on the quality of faith. If faith increases infinitely, there is no freedom to not generate realization. Dharma.

Though eighty-four thousand teachings are spoken, their essence is the settling of the mind itself. The mind, clear awareness, unceasing, free from grasping, if cultivated as it is, self-nature is grasped. Always hold it with the rope of mindfulness, if you recognize yourself, you are self-liberated. Holding the mind is useless, let it flow freely, lose the distinctions of going and coming in the expanse. Sometimes tighten and restrain it, this is going into the expanse of non-elaboration. Again, sometimes loosen and let it go, this is grasping the original self-nature. In general, in the yoga of effortless abiding, there is no need to tighten or loosen, but whatever appearance of tightening or loosening arises, it is good to carry it into the expanse of abiding. There is nothing to reject in the objects of seeing and hearing, whatever appears is the union of clarity and emptiness. This drawing of moving thoughts, if you know its own face, it is empty awareness. In a mirror, the images of the world and beings appear, but as soon as they appear, they are free from grasping. Likewise, all the explanations of awareness, are the self-nature of the mind, free from elaboration. In the vast space of the single Dharmakaya, what need is there for the elaboration of acceptance and rejection? Whatever appearance of abandoning and taking arises, if you remain in self-liberation, you are free from abandoning and taking. Whether I go, stay, or do anything, whether sleeping or awake, whatever arises, whether the mind abides or moves, may I be able to be self-sufficient from that moment on. If the mind is self-sufficient, it is free from grasping, this non-dual awareness, its power is unceasing. There is nothing that does not appear in the appearances of samsara and nirvana, the yoga of arising and liberation is so blissful! The yoga of non-distraction is so majestic! The yoga of no effort is so pure! The yoga of no hindrance is so vast! Whatever arises, the skill of taking it as the path is so great! You should focus on the essence of that practice. Reality is like the sky, free from elaboration, but behavior is profound in accepting and rejecting cause and effect. The self-radiance of emptiness dawns as compassion, the path of the Buddha is the perfection of view, practice, and conduct. Do not be attached to signs in behavior, and do not just talk about empty emptiness, it is important to go to the essential point in your own mindstream. In general, samsara is the nature of suffering, and conditioned things have no chance of permanence. In particular, death is uncertain when it will come, nothing else is of benefit, devote yourself to the Dharma. When experiencing the suffering of the lower realms, parents and relatives

There is no time to waste! It is very important to confess the sins of the past and to resolve not to commit them in the future. Whether it is food, wealth, or enjoyment, all good things will disappear after life ends. If you strive to do good deeds, you will be happy wherever you are reborn. Now, please regard devotion as the most important method. Looking at one's own mind is the core of practice. Impermanence and sorrow are the whips to remind oneself. Paying close attention to the details of karma is the essence of behavior. These four things are the essence of Dharma. I pray that these words will touch your heart. May you realize the wisdom of reality like the sun rising in the sky! This is Tara Natha's advice to the official Lodro Namkha. An exhortation to regard the Lama as the totality of all refuge objects.

Having completed the two accumulations, may I also be led to ultimate Buddhahood. I pray. This is the time to practice devotion, and those lamas who appear vividly are the doorways of my own mind, so in the self-nature of the one mind, they are also of one taste. Knowing this, I pray as follows: Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om), the Vajra of Body, inseparable from appearance and emptiness, dwells pervading all appearances of samsara and nirvana. Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah), the Vajra of Speech, inseparable from sound and emptiness, although free from expression and effort, appears in all names and words. Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हु, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), the Vajra of Mind, inseparable from bliss and emptiness, although without effort, knows all knowable things. Hoh (Tibetan: ཧོཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हो, Sanskrit Romanization: hoḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hoh), the Vajra of Wisdom, possessing all qualities, although unchanging, appears in all of samsara and nirvana. The four Vajras, the all-pervading lords of all Buddhas, I take refuge in you, the all-encompassing Lama. I pray to you, the all-encompassing sacred Dharma. I request you, the all-encompassing Sangha, to bless me. I prostrate to you, the all-encompassing Yidam. I request you, the all-encompassing Dharma Protectors, to protect me. Protector, may I never be separated from you, and may I accomplish the activities that please you. Precious Lama with the signs, when I pray with intense longing, in order to bless all sentient beings like myself, please come and abide here. The signs and examples of the body blaze with light, emanations and further emanations are countless, Buddhas filling the sky, heroes and dakinis gather like clouds, light and rays of light intermingle like rainbows, possessing the splendor of a million suns, the sound of Dharma resounds like thunder, the experience of great bliss buzzes, now I pray for your blessing, I pray for your blessing in this very place. Having realized the inseparability of mind and wisdom, may I be inseparable from you, the venerable one. May my body become equal to the sky, may I accomplish the activities of the body. May my speech pervade all knowable things, may I accomplish all your teachings without exception. With the minds of all sentient beings becoming one taste, may I accomplish all the activities of the mind. At all times and in all circumstances, may I rely on your lotus feet, and may I uphold your teachings as they are. Until I realize the true nature and attain stability, whatever you say, I will respectfully follow, with unwavering devotion, and whatever beating, scolding, or reprimanding you may do
