If it is carried away, it will become very large. Whatever appearances and thoughts arise, If you need to practice relaxed non-distraction, That is only one aspect, not the ultimate. Now, please look at the self-arising again. Thinking that the mind itself is the antidote, If it exists as an antidote, it is a mistake. Thoughts, appearances, and non-thought, the three, Different names, but no difference in meaning. If abandoning, antidote, and speech are exhausted, Then the king of instructions has arrived. Because you have not possessed hardship and perseverance, You have not made long-term efforts, How can I instruct you? Without liberating your own mind-stream through practice, Wishing to liberate others is truly ridiculous. Without grasping the stable ground of self-invariance, Saying you will guide others is strange. Because you have no previous experience or karma, How can you erect signposts for other beings? However, relying on the kindness of the venerable Lama, Compassion and the power of your own faith, Pouring out all the afflictions of your own mind, I have written this with a little courage. Mangalam! Virtue! In the depths, may Dharma be supremely born. From where is this precious mind itself realized? If realized, there is one very wonderful thing, But even one meditator for the sake of realization is rare. This precious human body, difficult to obtain, If you strive in Dharma, there is one friend, But one person who enters into it is rare. To the supreme Lama with blessings, If devotion arises, realization will arise, But those without arrogance are very few. To these kind parents of the six realms, If compassion arises, although obscurations can be purified, But the spontaneous accomplishment of impartial manifestation is rare. In that state of non-doing, abide without distraction, In the state of non-effort, initiate diligence without bias, With the devotion to the qualified Lama as support, Practice pure vision without discrimination. Later, we will meet again soon. Here it is said: This human body, difficult to obtain, If not used for practicing Dharma, This time it will be empty and wasted. Strive in meditation, son of faith, Meeting with the qualified Lama, If you do not offer service and practice, You will send the accomplishments at hand outside. Strive in devotion, son of fortune, This self-mind that does not stop arising, If not restrained in the realm of non-grasping, The grasping of subject and object will increase. In the state of non-doing, there is no

So be it! This short life, with no certainty of when death will come, if not transformed into altruistic intention, will remain futile in clinging. Relax, let go, learned ones! We will meet again soon. Because you found my previous advice good and agreeable, I offer this much advice. To Jowo Nang Abbot, learned Jampawa. Mangalam! To the monastery steward of Gongkar Dorje Den. Even though wandering in samsara for a long time, now having met the true meaning, please keep this in your faithful heart, and say to turn the mind towards practice. Generally, one's own affairs are one's own, so do not blame others, as it also benefits sentient beings. My guru who imparted the instructions also rejoices from the bottom of his heart. Please impart instructions for practice. Although there are many words, there is no essence, so integrate practice into one, and abandon all non-Dharma activities. Do not fall into seeking fame, belittling others, arrogance, and laziness. Although thinking of practicing tomorrow or the day after, life is also uncertain, and death does not give advance notice, so quietly put down all preparations, completely end all plans, tightly gather all looseness, and pull the rope of the heart upwards. The so-called Dharma has a loud sound; if you do that, you can obtain it. Do not only distinguish between the samsara and nirvana of others and relatives, and leave the truly needed Dharma behind. Cut off all elaborations and simplify words. Mangalam! Colophon and Aspiration: To merge into the ocean of liberation and peace, the endless streams of Dharma flow gently. Even a tiny word can wash away the stains of the three poisons. By the power of the pure act of printing this nectar of good speech, may it open thousands of doors to the true Dharma, so that all beings of the five realms may gain access to the treasure of definitive goodness. In order for the non-harmful and peaceful path of Shakya Simha to fully flourish in the vast world, and for the sake of various temporary and long-term benefits, this dedication prayer can be attached to all scriptures of all Buddhist schools, whether they have already been printed or will be printed.
