Emaho! From the Gongpa Düpa. Instructions on how a person with faith and diligence can hold the tantra, and an explanation of the greatness of the tantra. Cha. CHATYATHYA NAMO GURU DEVA DAKINI HUM. (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) Those male or female yogis who abide in faith and samaya, and who take devotion to the lama, yidam, and dakini as their path, if they wish to hold the tantra, then on special occasions such as the eighth, third, and tenth days of the lunar month, and when auspicious planets and stars align, in a place that is blessed and pleasing to the mind, construct the mandala of the lama, yidam, and dakini, and arrange the representations of their bodies. Arrange the outer and inner offerings, and the offering substances such as medicine, alcohol, and torma, and strive to accomplish whatever can be accomplished in terms of sadhana and offering. Then, the scribe himself, with body, speech, and mind pure, and in a state of bodhicitta, should write the root general tantra, the lotus stalk tiers, with various precious substances, or if that is not possible, with five kinds of colored paint. Write the body tantra, the crystal mountain, with the essence of refined silver or conch shell. Write the speech tantra, the precious dragon's sound, with the essence of refined copper and vermilion. Write the mind tantra, the vast expanse of space, with the essence of refined lapis lazuli and indigo. Write the tantra of qualities, the life-force of the teachings, with the essence of refined gold. Write the tantra of activity, the razor that cuts through, with the blood of a young person who died by the sword, poison, and the essence of Chinese ink. The lama's secret tantra is the treasury of the command. The yidam's secret tantra is the boundary of the command, and the dakini's secret tantra is the key to the command. Mix nectar amrita, white and red bodhicitta, sindhura, chandana, camphor, saffron, giwang, lishi, rutra, and jati. Furthermore, mix blessed substances with vermilion and write. Write the letters in capital form without omission or excess. Make everything the size of one's own four fingers, and write the book in one direction without disturbing the beginning and end. Wrap each one separately with silk of a similar color, and place various precious offering substances, various grains, various medicines, and various silks inside a precious container or a gau box. Invite them to be seated on a throne in the center of the mandala of the lama, yidam, and dakini. Then, purify one's own mouth, hands, and face with fragrant water.

Kru. Wear new and immaculate clothes, and sit on a comfortable cushion. First, perform the preliminary practices such as taking refuge and generating Bodhicitta. Offer torma to the local deities and the assembly of spirits, and speak words of truth. Then, possessing the samaya of the Guru, Yidam, and Dakini, fumigate the scripture with Gugul incense. From within the state of emptiness purified by Svabhava (Tibetan: སཝབྷཱ་ཝ, Sanskrit Devanagari: सर्वाभाव, Sanskrit Romanization: sarvabhāva, Literal Chinese meaning: all is empty), visualize the writing surface of the scripture as a pure palace with many decorations. Within it, the essence of all the letters appears as the forms of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Gurus, Yidams, Dakinis, and their retinues of the ten directions and three times. All of these forms possess their own ornaments, attire, and expressions. While contemplating reciting the words of the nine tantras in Sanskrit with the sound "Ti Ri Ri," imagine the sound of the Dharma and the rain of letters falling like a drizzle and dissolving into the scripture. Furthermore, visualize countless assemblies of noble beings such as Gurus, Yidams, Dakinis, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas descending and dissolving into the deity body visualized as the scripture. In addition, while reciting the words of the nine tantras written in the action scripture, recite the highest level one hundred and eight times, the middle level fifty-four times, and the lowest level twenty-seven times. At the beginning, generate yourself as the teacher Amitabha, and recite with a lotus tongue. Following this, the second time, visualize yourself as Vairochana, with a Dharma wheel tongue; the third time, visualize yourself as Amitayus, with a lotus tongue; the fourth time, visualize yourself as Vajrasattva, with a vajra tongue; the fifth time, visualize yourself as Ratnasambhava, with a tongue of blazing jewels; the sixth time, visualize yourself as Amoghasiddhi, with a tongue of various vajras; the seventh time, visualize yourself as Lotus Vajra, with a golden vajra tongue; the eighth time, visualize yourself as Hayagriva, with a silver curved knife tongue; the ninth time, visualize yourself as Vajravarahi, with a meteoric iron sword tongue. If you do not like such elaboration, visualize yourself as the teacher Amitabha, with a red lotus petal tongue, and recite without being too extreme. During the breaks in between sessions, offer torma, offerings, and tsok feast items, etc. The yogi's body, speech, and mind should not be separated from the samaya of the three mandalas, and there should be a vajra brother or sister present who upholds their vows when necessary.
