Ngangdang Kheuchung asked: In the unborn, primordially pure Dharmakaya, are there eighty-four thousand dharmas or not? What are the words that symbolize hearing and speaking? After asking this, the Teacher said to the assembly: The eighty-four thousand dharmas are for correcting those who have not realized, or have realized wrongly. In the state of primordial purity, there are no dharmas at all. From nothingness, various appearances dissolve into nothingness. Without separation, unified as one, there are no words. It is realization beyond the mind, without substance. The words that symbolize have no ocean of meaning. There is no dharma, no speaking, no hearing. There is no symbol, no example, no comparison. Thus he spoke. This is the eighth chapter, showing that the Dharmakaya has no hearing or speaking. Then, Ngangdang Kheuchung asked: In the unborn, primordially pure Dharmakaya, are there karmic imprints and obscurations? What are karmic connections and ripening? After asking this, the Teacher said to the assembly: If the meaning of emptiness and clarity, primordial purity, is realized, there are no karmic imprints, obscurations, or ignorance. Karmic connections and ripening cannot obscure it. Primordial purity, emptiness and clarity, is clear and bright. In the clear and pure expanse, there is nothing at all. Whatever appears is not established, but is the spontaneous display of its own energy. Without separation, confident, there are no obscurations. If one is under the power of karma, then there is no self-born wisdom. There is no action, no karma, no ripening. Thus he spoke. This is the ninth chapter, showing that there are no karmic imprints or ripening of karma. Then, Ngangdang Kheuchung asked: Using the example of thunder in the sky, how is it shown that it descends from the sky into the ocean? What do the makara, jewel, and knot symbolize? After asking this, the Teacher said to the assembly: In the space of the sky, in the vast expanse of the sky without direction, the primordially pure, all-encompassing, mind-transcending thunder roars. From the realm of non-existence, the sound of emptiness thunders. The essence of all, the nine points, pure, beyond mind, descends. The ocean of samsara, including space, is the wave of afflictions. Without effort or desire, it is swallowed by the makara's throat. It holds the wish-fulfilling jewel, which produces all that is needed and desired. From the rope of non-existence, the knot of illusion transcends the mind. Unchanging in the three times, the bindu, the single continuum. Afflictions are completely destroyed, the continuum of descent from the sky into space. With fierce speed, the unobstructed thunder descends. Primordial purity, non-existence, the mind-transcending, most secret continuum. The example of the sky shows the essence of mind. Without direction, emptiness and clarity.

Clear but without substance. Using thunder as an example, it demonstrates unobstructed skill. Appearance is empty, sound is empty, awareness is empty, pure in the realm of reality. Mental awareness does not waver anywhere, the essence dissolves into non-action. By striking with the unobstructed instruction, Destroying the three realms, six paths, afflictions, and five poisons. Like a turtle tying a jewel in the ocean. The unchanging intention, the unwavering realm. Like a turtle placed in a city, there is nowhere to escape. Primordial purity is without substance, only conceptual thought. From nothing, various things appear, appearing as if they exist. Even one is not established, appearing purely from emptiness. Primordially non-existent, without substance, emptiness and clarity are naturally pure. Profoundly clear, luminous and clear, without anything, without seeking anything. Without thought, inconceivable, without words to describe. Unfathomable, difficult to examine, clear without seeking. It is only a designation, beyond words and thoughts. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of the Sky Thunderclap Descent, Gathering of Realms, General Union Knot, The tenth chapter, which shows the symbolic examples of the Tantra. The Tantra of the Sky Thunderclap Descent, Gathering of Realms, General Union, Makara Jewel Illusion Knot is complete. This was translated by the master Padmasambhava of Oddiyana and the translator Kawa Paltseg and given as instruction to the prince Trisong Detsen.
