The Essence of the Noble Ten Vajrapanis. The Essence of the Noble Ten Vajrapanis. ༄༅། །The Essence of the Noble Ten Vajrapanis is presented here. In Sanskrit: Arya Dasha Vajrapani Hridaya. In Tibetan: The Essence of the Noble Ten Vajrapanis. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard at one time. The Blessed One was in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove, in the Garden of Anathapindika. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the Venerable Ananda: Ananda, any son or daughter of good family who knows the names of the ten Yaksha commanders, the Vajrapanis, or knows their lineages, or knows their secret mantras, will not be harmed by curses. The Yakshas will not harm them in any way. The Rakshasas, the remnant eaters, and the incense eaters will not harm them. Those who place later will also not harm them. Tadyatha: U giri. Ma giri. Ma ra tse parna shavari. U limi. Mi le me. I li me. Mi le me. I li mala me. I li mi le me. Hikke dhikke. Hukke. Dhu dhu re. Pra dha re. A lampha le. Pha lampha le. Khu khu me ti ku me tu me. Ananda, these ten great Yaksha commanders, the Vajrapanis, should always follow me like a shadow, and even when I am asleep, intoxicated, or extremely intoxicated, they should protect, save, embrace, increase, pacify, and bring well-being. May the Blessed One grant this request! Thus, the Victorious Khru Chok, the Dweller in the Pasture, the Dweller in the Snow Mountain, the Dancer, the Excellent Jewel, Good Fame, the one adorned by the son of the Ugly Body, the one adorned with Garlands, and the son of the Great King Vaishravana, these ten great Yaksha commanders, the Vajrapanis, should always follow me like a shadow, and even when I am asleep, intoxicated, or extremely intoxicated, they should protect, save, embrace, increase, pacify, and bring well-being.
