第八章 阐述疾病之因 第八章 阐述疾病之因 此后，益西生圣者又这样禀告道： “尊者导师，精通医明的智者啊！应如何学习增减疾病之理？请救世药王开示。” 这样请教后，导师说道：“大圣者，请听好！为了学习从何所生的蕴聚之增减疾病之理，需要阐述原因、条件、进入方式、位置和特征，以及各自的分类和意义，共七个方面。 首先，原因分为远因和近因两种。远因又分为总因和别因两种。首先，各种疾病以多种方式扰乱，无数次折磨身体，无法逐一指出这些原因。因此，要说明所有疾病的总因。所有疾病的总因只有一个，那就是因为不了解无我的真谛，所以称为无明。例如，鸟儿即使在空中飞翔，也无法摆脱自己的影子。众生即使安乐地生活和行动，由于具有无明，也无法摆脱疾病。 别因是从无明中产生的贪欲、嗔恨和愚痴这三种毒素，它们产生风、胆、涎这三种病。 近因是风、胆、涎这三种。没有变化的成为疾病的原因，变化而不平衡的是疾病的本质。它们损害身体和生命，带来痛苦。胆病扰乱会烧灼身体的营养。这具有火的性质，因为热，即使位于下部也会向上燃烧。所有的热性疾病都由此而生。涎病扰乱会破坏身体的火热。这具有土水的性质，沉重而寒冷，即使位于上部也会向下沉降。所有的寒性疾病都由此而生。风是寒热二者的遍行者。与太阳同在时，它会助长燃烧；与月亮同在时，它会助长寒冷。它遍布上下内外，扰乱和引发寒热两种疾病。因此，风是所有疾病的总因。” 导师如是说。 《窍诀本续·甘露心髓八支》中，阐述疾病之因的第八章完毕。 第八章 阐述疾病之因

Chapter Eight: Explaining the Causes of Diseases Chapter Eight: Explaining the Causes of Diseases Then, the sage Yid-las-kye further requested, "O Teacher, wise sage of knowledge! How should one learn about the nature of increasing and decreasing diseases? Please, O King of Physicians, the life-giver, explain." After this request, the Teacher spoke, "O great sage, listen! To learn about the nature of increasing and decreasing diseases that arise from the aggregates, it is necessary to explain the causes, conditions, modes of entry, locations, characteristics, and the meanings of their respective classifications, in seven aspects. First, there are two types of causes: distant causes and immediate causes. Distant causes are further divided into general and specific causes. First, various diseases disturb in various ways, afflicting the body countless times, making it impossible to point out each cause individually. Therefore, the general cause of all diseases must be explained. The single cause of all diseases is the non-understanding of the truth of selflessness, which is called ignorance. For example, even though a bird soars in the sky, it cannot escape its own shadow. Even though all beings live and act in happiness, they cannot escape disease because they possess ignorance. The specific causes are the three poisons of desire, hatred, and delusion, which arise from ignorance. They give rise to the three humors of wind, bile, and phlegm. The immediate causes are the three: wind, bile, and phlegm. When they are not transformed, they become the causes of disease. When they are transformed and imbalanced, they are the nature of disease. They harm the body and life, causing suffering. Disturbed bile burns the body's nutrients. It has the nature of fire, and because of its heat, it burns upwards even when located in the lower part of the body. All hot diseases arise from this. Disturbed phlegm destroys the body's heat. It has the nature of earth and water, being heavy and cold, and it descends even when located in the upper part of the body. All cold diseases arise from this. Wind is the pervader of both hot and cold. When it is with the sun, it helps to burn; when it is with the moon, it helps to cool. It pervades all parts, upper and lower, inside and outside, disturbing and causing both hot and cold diseases. Therefore, wind is the general cause of all diseases." Thus spoke the Teacher.
