Specifically, the five senses grasp their respective objects. The classifications of the body are fourfold: based on support, age, nature, and disease. Based on support, there are three types: male, female, and hermaphrodite. Based on age, up to sixteen is childhood, from then until seventy, the body's essence, senses, radiance, and strength increase and change, which is adulthood. After that, decline leads to old age. Nature is sevenfold: single, combined, and mixed. Among them, people born of wind are hunched, with lean muscles, bluish skin, talkative, intolerant of cold, walk with sounds, have little wealth, short lives, light sleep, and small bodies. They enjoy singing, laughing, fighting, and archery, and crave sweet, sour, and salty tastes, possessing the characteristics of vultures and crows. The nature of bile is strong thirst and hunger, yellow hair and body, sharp mind, arrogance, much sweat, foul odor, medium lifespan, wealth, and body size. They crave sweet, bitter, astringent, and cool foods, possessing the characteristics of tigers, monkeys, and yakshas. The nature of phlegm is a cool body, inconspicuous bones and joints, full muscles, white skin, tall stature, able to endure hunger, thirst, afflictions, and drought, obese body, long life, much wealth, deep sleep, prolonged anger, good nature, craving hot, sour, astringent, and rough foods, possessing the characteristics of lions and leader bulls. Combined and mixed natures should be understood from the mixture. Based on disease, there are unchanged and changed. The unchanged body is in a normal state, maintaining a disease-free state, thereby living long.
