The Essential Summary of Burning and Purifying the Six Realms. The Essential Summary of Burning and Purifying the Six Realms. From "Entrance for the Fortunate": The seed of the gods is pride, which is divided into seven. The seed of the asuras is view, which is divided into five. The seed of humans is doubt. The seed of animals is ignorance or unawareness, which the sutras say are the same in meaning. The seed of pretas is desire. The seed of hell beings is anger or hatred, and their retinue consists of anger and other secondary defilements, which are purified accordingly. It is said. The seven prides are: Observing that one's own qualities are less than others, thinking, "I am greater than this one, equal to or the same as them," this is pride, or slight pride. Even compared to those who are equal, thinking oneself to be greater or superior, considering oneself great and equal, this is great pride. Even greater than the great, thinking oneself superior, this is pride beyond pride. Thinking "I am," grasping the five aggregates of clinging as self and belonging to self, this is the pride of "I am." Thinking one has attained superior qualities that have not been attained, this is excessive pride. Thinking that one is slightly inferior to the most superior, but still thinking oneself to be good, this is slight pride. Taking faults that are not qualities as qualities and becoming proud, this is wrong pride. The five views are: From the root text of "Entering for the Wise": The view of the aggregates of destruction is to regard the five aggregates of clinging as self and belonging to self, which is the basis of other views. The view of holding to extremes is to regard the self or the five aggregates as permanent or impermanent, which is the karma that obstructs liberation from the Middle Way. Wrong view is to deny the existence of things like cause and effect, which is the karma of cutting off the roots of virtue. View of holding views as supreme is to regard the above three bad views and the five aggregates of clinging, which are the place of views, as supreme and sacred, which is extreme attachment to bad views. Holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme is to regard moral discipline and asceticism that are not liberation, and the five aggregates that are their place, as liberation and definite liberation, which is the karma of making effort fruitless. It is said. Doubt is to waver in the face of truth, which is the karma of not entering the path of virtue. It is said. From "Entrance for the Fortunate": Here, when cultivating the antidote for purification, the six seeds that are relied upon, I
