The Sadhana of Padmanarteshvara is as follows: In the center of a variegated lotus with eight petals, upon a moon disc, from Hrih (藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：Hrih) arises oneself as the Lord of the World, Padmanarteshvara, with a red-colored body. The left hand embraces the white consort situated on the left side of the body, holding the stem of a red lotus; the right hand makes the needle mudra and a dancing gesture, displaying a lotus opening at the heart. Seated in the vajra posture. Possessing an extremely amorous demeanor. On the eight petals, in the east is white Lokanatha, holding a red lotus; in the south is green Tara, holding a green lotus; in the west is yellow Ishvari, holding a blue utpala; in the north is white Bhrikuti, holding a yellow lotus; in the southeast is a yellow woman residing on a lotus, holding a red lotus; in the southwest is blue-radiant Padmeshvari, holding a white lotus; in the northwest is white variegated Padma, holding a black lotus; in the northeast is variegated Vajri, holding a variegated lotus. All of them are also in the bodhisattva posture, with the left hand resting on the seat, or the same as the main deity. The family lord is Amitabha.
