The Practice of Eliminating All Obstacles. The Practice of Eliminating All Obstacles. Om Svasti! In order to pacify all sins and obscurations, and to accomplish the Vajra life, therefore, the great reversion is performed. By the mantra that eliminates all obstacles, therefore, it should be practiced. First, generate the mind of enlightenment. Purify into emptiness with Shunyata (Skt.: śūnyatā). From within emptiness, on a lotus and moon seat, from one's own mind, from the syllable Kam (Tibetan: སྐཾ་), one's self arises as the Eliminator of Obstacles, with a white-colored body. The right hand holds a vase filled with nectar, and the left hand holds the stem of a white lotus, blooming near the ear, upon which is a full moon, without clouds or fog, radiating light. The great reversion, the Crown Wheel-Turning King, and many wrathful deities of knowledge attend at the feet. Adorned with silk and precious jewels. Up to the heart, between the syllable Hum, it is like the chapter of Kuntuzangpo. Om Amrita Bindhu Dzawa Maha Sukha Svaha. Recite as much as possible. The subsequent actions and intervals between sessions are similar to the chapter of Kuntuzangpo, except that reciting the hundred names of the Eliminator of Obstacles is the distinction. The method of reciting and bestowing the transmission of this is also similar to that described in the practice of Amitabha. Throughout the land of Tibet, I have not seen this practice, so I joyfully requested it from the Lama, and recorded only the essence of the oral instructions. It came from the words of the Pandit Gangwa Dorje. The instruction of Shakya Rakshita, the chapter on the practice of the noble Eliminator of All Obstacles, is complete. May auspiciousness increase! The Practice of Eliminating All Obstacles.
