The Oral Instructions of Amitayus Vajrasana The Oral Instructions of Amitayus Vajrasana Oṃ Svasti! Superior to all Buddhas, with compassion, he eliminates the suffering of beings. Having paid homage to Amitayus, I will write down the oral instructions of Vajrasana. First, generate refuge, bodhicitta, and the four immeasurables, then purify into emptiness with Svabhava. On a lotus and moon seat, from one's own mind (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूं, Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable) arises the Victorious Amitayus, with a red-colored body. One face, two arms, making the mudra of meditative equipoise, holding a vase filled with the nectar of immortal wisdom on top. Seated in the vajra posture. Adorned with silks and precious jewels. Bless the three places. Invoke the wisdom beings. Bestow the empowerment, crowned by Vairochana. Oṃ Puṇye Puṇye Mahāpuṇye Aparimita Puṇye. Aparimita Puṇye. Jñāna Saṃbharo Bha Ci Te Kariṇāye Svāhā. Express wisdom with the seven royal emblems and the eight auspicious symbols, etc. If done in conjunction with the subsequent permission, these are performed after the completion of the daily confession. Regarding this, in some lineages' texts of Yarlungpa Senge Gyaltsen, the visualization of the Amitayus empowerment deity and the single vase are mostly confused and added to this, but this is merely mixing. The source of this sadhana is the 'Purifying the Lower Realms Tantra.'
