A Song Taken as Advice A Song Taken as Advice Om Svasti! Namo Gurave. From the state of being free from the play of phenomena, Immediately subduing and benefiting beings in various ways, Without deviating from the common Dharma words and meanings, Revered Lama, you reveal the essence of meaning. From this place, yogis of the kingdom, Pray with strong faith and reverence, Please bless the minds of the disciples, Please take hold with compassion to realize the rootless. Through the kindness of the blessed father, I too have seen the nature of my own mind. Through the kindness of the knowledgeable Lord, I have decided on the place of definite meaning. Through the kindness of the all-compassionate one, The conceptual thoughts of external enemies and friends are pacified. Through the kindness of the protector who dispels delusion, Inner clinging naturally vanishes. My devotion to the Lord increases, Your kindness cannot be measured. May you gathered here keep this in mind: Now that we have obtained a human body, It is crucial to have a meaningful life. A human body that does not practice the sacred Dharma, Isn't it worse than an animal? Regarding the impermanent state of samsara, You must generate renunciation. It is crucial to seize the path of liberation. From beginningless samsara, Until today, The body is busy with actions, walking, sleeping, and waking, Speech is busy with talking, conversing, fatigue, and effort, The mind wanders in the maze of thoughts. Even if you try to practice Dharma, it is in vain. Sin is the root of suffering, Unspecified actions waste a lifetime. A virtue that does not lead to liberation, Is a means of creating samsara. The elaboration that is not grasped by Mahamudra, Is a cause of confusion of mental thoughts. The understanding that is not mixed with meditation, Will deceive you when the meaning comes to an end. The emptiness that is not grasped by compassion, Even if it is good, it is a cause of the Hinayana. The owl who despises the result of karma, Is a cause of going to hell. The view that does not recognize its own nature, Is an imaginary elaboration. The self-righteous afflictions, Seem rough, but are actually gentle. The plans that go to the rootless, Seem real, but are actually illusory. The conceptual thoughts of effortless recognition, Flowing.

It is also like some kind of free state. The roots of virtue not grasped by altruism are busy but have small results. Recitations that are not done with an open mind are anxious but have small achievements. Meditation recitations that are not grasped by Bodhicitta are no different from Bon rituals. Now, please put your body in the correct position, put down words, and keep relaxed. Please let the mind settle naturally. Please regard the guru as the Dharmakaya. Please hold vows that are not hypocritical. Please hold devotion that is not false. For any arising afflictions, please keep their original state without making any changes. When the nature of the mind remains in its original state, any manifestation will naturally transcend words. That is something that has existed from the beginning. It is a pity not to realize its existence. This is called the trick of unpretentious relaxation. Whatever the body and speech do at the moment, in one's own original state, from a state where all attachments dissolve, do not cling to the labels of acceptance and rejection, do not show off your goodness, and do not need hypocritical decorations. It is important not to modify any naturally revealed behavior. This is the trick of equality between acceptance and rejection. Clinging to the nectar of meditation experience, like a silkworm cocooning itself, is a deception of binding oneself. At the time of the Tsok wheel tonight, in the magnificent palace of the king, the one named Tara Natha sang this song in an oral way. Offer this to the Guru Rinpoche. This is a song sung to some students as an introduction. Because I haven’t written for a few days, in order not to forget, it was written at the urging of those present today, at Gonggar (Gonggar, today's Gonggar County). Auspicious! A song sung in an oral way.
