Advice for Pilgrims of Lhatö. Advice for Pilgrims of Lhatö. ༈ Oṃ Svasti (藏文：ཨོཾ་སྭཱ་སྟི།，梵文天城体：ॐ स्वस्ति，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ svasti，汉语字面意思：嗡，吉祥！). To the wonderful Lama, I pray with intense devotion. All you yogis who travel the realms, please keep this matter in mind. Now that you have encountered the Dharma, be sure to rely on the supreme Lama. In general, this is an excellent opportunity! If you accumulate merit for a long time, you will obtain the blessings of the supreme Lama. Generate the great merit of generation stage, completion stage, and recitations, and spread it in all directions. Without clinging to merit, accumulate virtue in a relaxed state. Obtain prayers in a non-conceptual manner. When going to great sacred sites, do not quarrel or create disturbances, and please arrange the auspicious connections for practice. Whatever appears, practice visualizing the deity. There is an auspicious connection for pure appearances to arise impartially. Also, recite mantras as much as possible, there is an auspicious connection for truthful speech to be accomplished. Visualize all desired wishes clearly, like the sound of a drum, and then recite Phaṭ (藏文：ཕཊ，梵文天城体：फट，梵文罗马拟音：phaṭ，汉语字面意思：断), letting it dissolve into itself. There is an auspicious connection for subduing appearances. Obtain selfless prayers, there is an auspicious connection for benefiting beings to arise impartially. Whatever appears, maintain mindfulness of the essence of your own mind. There is an auspicious connection for realization to be manifested. Recognize whatever afflictions arise, there is an auspicious connection for transforming afflictions into Dharma. Meditate on the yoga of channels, winds, and drops, there is an auspicious connection for the blessings of the Ḍākinīs. Wherever you stay, strive to offer tormas, there is an auspicious connection for averting obstacles. Repeatedly make devout prayers, there is an auspicious connection for the Dharma lineage to flourish. These are merely symbolic, so understand how to arrange auspicious connections. If you know how to arrange inner and outer auspicious connections, the desired accomplishments will fall like rain. This is the advice of Tāranātha. May goodness increase!
