Instructions to Lodrö Karma Chö Zang Instructions to Lodrö Karma Chö Zang Oṃ Svasti! Whatever it is, the fruit of the nectar of worldly and peaceful perfections, residing at the top of the wish-fulfilling tree of leisure and endowment, from which one can take whatever one desires. Otherwise, such an opportunity is rare, one in a hundred. The three-tiered forest of Hari sandalwood, fragrant and lush, should be a playground for enjoying whatever one desires, but one is forced to abandon it and instead attend to the forest of leaves like sharp swords; this is the result of karma. Like the wealth of Namtösé (梵文:वैश्रवण,Vaiśravaṇa,字面意思:多闻子,即毗沙门天王) and Indra, residing on the summit of a blazing golden mountain, it will vanish like autumn clouds due to the power of time; who can prevent this? Those who are not satisfied with the drop of immortal nectar offered by the lotus hands of the vidyādhara's joyful consort, those who enjoy the feast of samādhi nectar, they blissfully revel in the eternal glory. In the illusory garden of the eight worldly concerns, the cuckoo with its beautiful maroon plumage, singing sweetly of the sacred Dharma, perches as it pleases on the ears of the world, but one should consider other times. The six-legged bee, with its strings of words blooming like petals, is deluded by the ripening of self-made fruits of glory, and rushes eagerly to the so-called garden of a hundred petals, but never obtains the essence of profound meaning. This beautiful painting of cause and effect, interdependence, is the play of primordial purity by its very nature. Whatever forms appear—earth, mountains, forests—all are reflections in the clear mirror of the lake. With devotion to a qualified guru, this wish-fulfilling jewel, from this, all good deeds arise. Through the power of extremely strong action, all subtle things are accomplished; this is the nature of things. The mind, primordially pure by its very nature, is the Buddha, like a source of precious jewels hidden beneath the house of a poor man. It cannot be illustrated by any other means; this illustration is the glory of the power of blessing. Thus spoke Tāranātha, for the one named Lodrö Karma Chö Zang, a few words based on the sacred Dharma. May auspiciousness increase, may it be virtuous! Instructions to Lodrö Karma Chö Zang
