Instructions to Konchok Rinchen. Instructions to Konchok Rinchen. Oṃ Svasti. I prostrate to the feet of the father lama. Son Konchok Rinchen, listen carefully. I, this person, have three heartfelt words. The king of practice is devotion. Now, when meeting with the lama, Please pray with devotion. Since there is no knowing when death will come, As soon as you remember the Dharma, put it into practice. Regarding the impermanent and ever-changing nature, Urge your mind with renunciation and sorrow. This longing for pleasure and enjoyment, Is difficult to cut off easily, So with strong perseverance and determination, Transform the good and bad of this life as you wish. Unattached letting go is the key instruction. If in this life you need to rely on people, And need to cater to many minds, You will not know what to do and will contradict the Dharma. Rather than catering to the minds of bad people, It is better to cater to the sacred Dharma. Completely naturally rest in your own nature, Without fabrication, relax your body and mind. All contrived tightening and loosening, Are artificial and have no essence. In this natural state of letting go, Whatever you do becomes practice. There is no difference between thoughts arising and not arising, Recognizing the nature of thoughts is very important. Transform things into the aspect of virtue, Transform actions into the aspect of Dharma, Turn the arrow of wisdom inward, Transform delusion into pure appearance. Practice these four transformations, And transform all of these into benefiting others. If you can do it, that is the key instruction. Do not just remain with the words. This was said by Tāranātha, in Taklungtang. May virtue and excellence increase! Instructions to Konchok Rinchen.
