Above: Visualize in the space in front of you, at the heart of the deity, there is a Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽)character surrounded by a mantra garland. Recite: Tadyathā, Oṃ Bhaiṣajye Bhaiṣajye Mahā Bhaiṣajye Rājasamudgate Svāhā (藏文:ཏདྱ་ཐཱ༔ ཨོཾ་བྷཻ་ཥ་ཛྱེ་བྷཻ་ཥ་ཛྱེ་མ་ཧཱ་བྷཻ་ཥ་ཛྱེ་རཱ་ཛ་ས་མུཏྒ་ཏེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ༔). After reciting as much as possible, conclude with: 'I confess all sins and downfalls, and dedicate the merit to Bodhi. May there be auspiciousness, free from disease, evil spirits, and suffering! May sentient beings abide in their own place, Vajra Muḥ! (藏文:བཛྲ་མུཿ) May the wisdom commitment deities dissolve into me. In the primordial purity, the expanse of Kunsang, Emaho! (藏文:ཀ་དག་ཀུན་བཟང་ཀློང་དུ་ཨེ་མ་ཧོ།)' This is collected from the supplementary part of the Mind Treasure, from Namchö (藏文:གནམ་ཆོས་), and compiled by Rāga Asya (藏文:རཱ་ག་ཨ་སྱས་). If there are any errors, I confess to the deity. May all sentient beings be liberated from disease through this merit, and quickly attain the state of the Medicine Buddha. Although bathing is at the beginning of the ritual, it is not contradictory to have the higher Anuttarayoga Tantra at the end. The benefits of practicing this ritual are as follows: If one is a monk, the precepts will not decline. Even if the precepts are impaired, one can purify the obscurations and not fall into the lower realms. All the negative karma of hell, hungry ghosts, and animals will be purified, and one will not be reborn there. Even if one is born there, one will be immediately liberated and reborn in the supreme of the happy realms, gradually attaining Buddhahood. In this life, one will also have wealth and abundance without the need for food and clothing. Diseases, evil spirits, curses, and punishments from the king will be pacified. Vajrapani (藏文:ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ་), Brahma (藏文:ཚངས་པ་), Indra (藏文:བརྒྱ་བྱིན་), the Four Great Kings (藏文:རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་བཞི་), and the Twelve Yaksha Generals (藏文:གནོད་སྦྱིན་གྱི་སྡེ་དཔོན་ཆེན་པོ་བཅུ་གཉིས་) and their retinue of seven hundred seventy thousand will protect and guard, liberating one from the eighteen untimely deaths and all harm from enemies, wild animals, etc., and fulfilling all wishes completely. The Medicine Buddha Sutra extensively speaks of the inconceivable benefits. For most Dharma practices that are nitpicked and difficult to satisfy, in the great monastic colleges, such as Jamyang Ling Monastery (藏文:བྱང་ངམ་རིང་དཔལ་འཁོར་ཆོས་སྡེ་) and all the philosophical colleges, for the benefit of the living and the purification of the deceased, no other ritual is prevalent except for the Medicine Buddha ritual. The rituals performed in front of the Jowo statue in Lhasa and in front of the Changzhub Chenmo Temple (藏文:བྱང་ཆུབ་ཆེན་པོའི་མདུན་དུ་) in Samye Monastery (藏文:བསམ་ཡས་) are also Medicine Buddha rituals. Therefore, whether it is the new or old tradition, Sutra or Tantra, there is no ritual with greater benefits than the Medicine Buddha ritual, so please have faith. There are elaborate and concise versions of the Medicine Buddha ritual, but this ritual is concise and complete, and belongs to the Anuttarayoga Tantra, so cleanliness is not required. This ritual is manifested by the Mind-Born Body, so it is acceptable even without Torma (藏文:གཏོར་མཆོད་) offerings, so please practice it! May it be auspicious! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
