Especially in India, there are Acharya Padmasambhava (Guru Padmasambhava), the Teacher Hero (Slob-dpon dpa'bo), Pha Dampa, Birwapa, the Fire God (skyes bu me lha); in Tibet, there are Songtsen Gampo, Dwags-po Lha-rje, all of whom are me. Rather than praying to other lamas for a lifetime, praying to me for a year brings greater blessings. Rather than praying to others for a year, praying to me for a month; rather than praying to others for a month, praying to me for a moment, an instant, is faster. If this is not true, then I have deceived sentient beings, and may all the Buddhas of the ten directions and their retinues chop my head into a hundred pieces like a lump of Ardzaka. To verify whether this is true, during the seven-day practice of the Medicine Buddha, at the juncture of meditation and dreams, not only can one see the form of the Thousand-Armed, Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteśvara, but also his face filling the sky, and he bestows upon me fresh golden Arura (诃子) as big as a horse's head, with leaves and so on. Good signs and omens appeared, so I became convinced. In order to practice my daily practice, I have compiled the profound Guru Sadhana ritual, including the biography and intent, as well as the common mantras and visualizations of the Guru Sadhana. The recorder is the attendant Thabs-mkhas. Compiled by Karma A-rA-ga. (Note: Ardzaka is the name of a grass, used here as a metaphor for something insignificant.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
