Great Treasure of the Supreme Dharma TD959: A Detailed Explanation of the Essential Practice of the Kyergang Tradition of Hayagriva Kyergang Hayagriva. Approach and Visualization. Herein is the detailed explanation of the essential practice of the Kyergang tradition of glorious Hayagriva. Om Swasti. For those with initial karma and lesser intellect, I shall speak here of the nectar of the Guru's words, which realize the meaning of the essence, and write down a slight sequence of visualization. First, visualize in front of oneself a flourishing lotus stem, and in the center, the face of the Root Guru looking towards oneself. Around that, the lineage Gurus surround. In front of that, the Yidam deity. To the right, the form of the Buddha. Behind, the sacred Dharma. To the left, the noble Sangha. Slightly below that, the Dharma protectors abide vividly. Visualize that the four Great Kings in the four directions also act according to one's command. With oneself as the main focus, for the sake of kind parents and all sentient beings pervading the three realms of samsara throughout the sky, one must take refuge with one mind. In that visualization, recite: 'I and all sentient beings equal to the extent of the sky, until, I take refuge in the glorious Guru, I take refuge in the Yidam Mandala, I take refuge in the perfect Buddha, I take refuge in the sacred Dharma, I take refuge in the noble Sangha, I take refuge in the Dakinis and Dharma Protectors.' Recite this without distraction of mind, a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand times, and so on. There are two types of refuge, four rounds and six rounds, this is the six-round one. Recite 'I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, may it be accomplished.' 'May all sentient beings have happiness and the causes of happiness,' etc., three times. After that, gather the objects of refuge in sequence and rest slightly in emptiness. For those who fear the suffering of the lower realms and wish to be born as gods and humans, this is done as it is generally needed for those of lesser intellect. Second, the main practice. Purifying with Svabhava emptiness: The emptiness of 'From within emptiness' is like the sky, without any objects such as earth, stones, mountains, or rocks. 'On the lotus and sun seat,' the lotus is like various petals blown by the wind in the sky, and on the stamen of the lotus is the sun disc, like a mandala with its mouth facing down. The sun disc is not hollow, but red, burning with hot rays, like a piece of iron taken from a blacksmith's coal pile burning with fire. That... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
