On that day, Vajrapani Bodhisattva entered the Vajra-samadhi (Vajra-samadhi, diamond concentration). At this time, Vajrapani Bodhisattva, receiving the Buddha's divine power and the empowerment of all the Tathagatas and Bodhisattvas, in his wrathful diamond form, spoke this most wonderful Diamond Heart Dharani (Vajra-hrdaya-dharani). This dharani is without cessation or destruction, truly solid and firm, and nothing can hinder it, nor can anything cause it to retreat. It can cause all beings to feel fear, it can help beings to subdue afflictions, cut off all mantras, suppress all mantras, destroy all evil practices, break others' evil practices, crush all demonic obstacles, release all demonic attachments, and can restrain all the multitudes of bhutas (bhuta, spirits). It can also enable all those who practice mantras, those who have not achieved success to achieve it, and those who have already achieved success to not have their merits wasted, and all their hopes and wishes can be fulfilled as desired. It can also protect all beings, pacify disasters, and increase blessings. It can also restrain confused and deluded evil sentient beings. All of this is the power of the dharani mantra. If someone has a pure and kind heart, wears clean and tidy clothes, Follows the Buddha's profound teachings, and upholds this scripture, By the power of this scripture, these sentient beings, All diseases and sufferings will be completely eliminated.
