English version The Buddha Speaks of the Incantation for Teeth Translated by Zhu Tanwulan of the Eastern Jin Dynasty Namo Buddha (Homage to the Buddha), Namo Dharma (Homage to the Dharma), Namo Bhikshu Sangha (Homage to the Community of Monks), Namo Śāriputra (One of the Buddha's ten great disciples, known for his wisdom) and Mahāmaudgalyāyana (One of the Buddha's ten great disciples, known for his supernatural powers) Bhikshus. Namo Awakening Intention. It is said that in the northern region of Gandhamādana (Fragrant Mountain) there is a worm king named Cha Hou Wu. It dwells within the teeth of so-and-so. Now I shall dispatch a messenger, commanding it not to dare to eat the teeth of so-and-so, nor the worms within the root of the teeth, nor those at the edge of the root. If it does not immediately descend into the vessel, may its head be shattered into seven pieces, like a Kurakula earthworm. Brahmā (The creator god in Hinduism, a protector deity in Buddhism) encourages this incantation, Namo Buddha. May all that I咒 (zhòu, incant) be as wished.
