English version: The Sutra of the Dhāraṇī of Cintāmaṇi-cakra Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Spoken by the Buddha Translated under Imperial Order by the Tripiṭaka Master Yijing of the Tang Dynasty Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan (Blessed One) was on Mount Ghris (a mountain's name), together with a great assembly of countless Bodhisattvas. At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (the great Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara) came to the Buddha's abode, prostrated himself at the Buddha's feet, circumambulated the Buddha three times to the right, knelt on his knees, and with palms joined respectfully said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, I now have a great dhāraṇī bright mantra and a great maṇḍala method, named the Secret Vajra Constantly Protected by the Blue Lotus Crown Sandalwood Maṇi Heart. This is the so-called Unobstructed Avalokiteśvara Lotus Cintāmaṇi-cakra King Dhāraṇī Heart Mantra, which is the most rare and wonderful. It can, according to one's wishes, greatly benefit and accomplish all that is sought. World-Honored One, please listen with great compassion to what I say. I shall, relying on the Buddha's power, bestow it upon all sentient beings. World-Honored One, this dhāraṇī has great divine power and a great expedient gate. I shall now personally and sequentially proclaim it before the Buddha. I only wish that the World-Honored One would have compassion and protect me and all those who uphold this bright mantra, raining down wondrous treasures like the wish-fulfilling tree and the Cintāmaṇi jewel, so that all the hopes and requests of all sentient beings may be fulfilled in due time.' At that time, the World-Honored One praised Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, saying: 'So it is, so it is. You are able to have compassion for all sentient beings. I empower you, right here before me, to fulfill all your wishes and requests. If you wish to proclaim the Unobstructed Avalokiteśvara Lotus Cintāmaṇi-cakra King Dhāraṇī, this most profound and secret heart mantra, then speak it according to your will.' At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, having received the Buddha's permission, his heart filled with compassionate vows, then spoke the mantra with great compassion before the Buddha: Namo Buddhāya (Homage to the Buddha), Namo Dharmāya (Homage to the Dharma), Namo Saṃghāya (Homage to the Saṃgha), Namo Avalokiteśvarāya Bodhisattvāya Mahāsattvāya (Homage to Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva), the one with great compassion. All the evil demons and those who create obstacles, seeing their own palaces all ablaze, were filled with terror. Evil-minded beings, evil dragons, evil ghosts, Yakshas, and Rakshasas (Rakshasa) all fell headlong. The beings suffering in hell were all liberated from suffering and reborn in the heavens. At that time, in the assembly, before the Lord Buddha, heavenly flowers and jeweled ornaments rained down, and heavenly music was played in the empty sky, producing various sounds, extensively offering worship. At that time, the Lord Buddha, with a beautiful voice, praised Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, saying: 'Excellent, excellent, Avalokiteśvara! This Great Mantra King that you have proclaimed is truly rare to encounter, and it can enable beings to fulfill their wishes and obtain great rewards. If one recites this mantra, I shall now speak of all the rituals and practices. If there are good men, good women, Bhikshus (Bhiksu), Bhikshunis (Bhiksuni), Upasakas (Upasaka), Upasikas (Upasika), who aspire to seek present rewards in this life, they should single-mindedly uphold this mantra. When one wishes to uphold this mantra, there is no need to inquire about the auspiciousness of the sun, moon, and stars, nor to separately practice fasting and abstinence, nor is it necessary to bathe and wear clean clothes. One need only gather one's mind and recite it without懈怠, and a hundred thousand things will be accomplished as desired. There is no other bright mantra that can equal the power of this Wish-Fulfilling Mantra King. Therefore, one should first eliminate all sins and obstacles, and then one can accomplish all undertakings. It can also eliminate the karmic retribution of suffering the five heinous crimes in the Avici Hell, and it can also eradicate all illnesses and suffering, and all can be cured. All heavy karmic debts can be destroyed. All kinds of feverish illnesses, whether by day or by night, or one-day malaria, or even four-day malaria, wind, bile, phlegm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

English version: 'You are able to speak this subtle Citta-cakra-dhāraṇī (Heart-wheel Dharani) of Cintāmaṇi (Wish-fulfilling Jewel). In Jambudvipa (the continent where we live) there are many sentient beings who, if they recite it with a sincere mind, will immediately receive personal verification. According to my teachings, you should frequently and diligently encourage, exhort, and instruct all sentient beings, so that they may obtain verification and manifest your form for them. Do not disobey my command, and I shall rejoice in your actions.' At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva said to the Buddha, 'World Honored One, for countless kalpas (eons) I have always acted as a protector for suffering sentient beings with a compassionate heart. May you bear witness to this. For the sake of sentient beings, I will speak this Cintāmaṇi-cakra-dhāraṇī (Wish-fulfilling Wheel Dharani). If anyone receives and upholds it, constantly practices it, and recites it with focused attention, their wishes will be fulfilled. Today, relying on the Buddha's power, I will save beings from suffering in this way.'
