English version The Heart Dharani of the Avatamsaka Sutra Om kili kili tathagata utpate samantaha avilate hulu hulu hum hum svaha This dharani is spoken by Samantabhadra Tathagata (普贤如来). Translated by Śikṣānanda (实叉难陀), Tripitaka master from Khotan (于阗国). Another version of the sutra says: If a person recites this dharani once, it is equivalent to reciting the upper, middle, and lower three versions of the Avatamsaka Sutra (华严经) in the Dragon Canon (龙藏) once. How much more so if one constantly upholds it. If one can recite it a full 100,000 times, that person will become intelligent and insightful, thoroughly understanding all the teachings. As for the accumulated blessings and eliminated karmic obstacles, they cannot be fully described.
