In Sanskrit: Āryamaitrīpraṇidhānarāja (梵文天城体：आर्यमैत्रीप्रणिधानराज，梵文罗马转写：āryamaitrīpraṇidhānarāja，King of Noble Maitreya's Prayer). In Tibetan: The King of Noble Maitreya's Prayer. I prostrate to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Ananda, how did the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Maitreya, when practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past, drape his upper garment over one shoulder three times during the day and three times during the night, place his right knee on the ground, join his palms, and make this prayer: I prostrate to all the Buddhas. I also prostrate to the sages with divine eyes, and to all the Bodhisattvas, and to all the Shravakas. Turning back the path of evil destinies, clearly showing the path to higher realms, leading to freedom from old age and death, I prostrate to the Bodhicitta. Because I am under the control of my mind, whatever sins I have committed, in the presence of the Buddhas, I will confess them. Whatever accumulation of merit I have created from any of the three ways, may it be the seed for my attainment of omniscience, may my Bodhi never be exhausted. In all the fields of the ten directions, whatever offerings to the Buddhas have occurred, and the Buddhas' knowledge of me, I rejoice in them. I confess all sins, I rejoice in all merits, I prostrate to all the Buddhas, may I attain the supreme wisdom. In all directions of the ten directions, those Bodhisattvas who dwell on the ten Bhumis, I urge you to attain the supreme Bodhi. May you attain perfect enlightenment and Buddhahood, and after subduing the Maras and their retinues, for the benefit of all sentient beings, please turn the wheel of Dharma. May the sound of the great Dharma drum bring an end to the suffering of sentient beings. May you teach the Dharma and abide in the world for countless eons. Sinking into the swamp of desire, tightly bound by the thread of craving, for me who is bound by all bonds, I request the supreme two-legged ones to look upon me. For me who has become the stain of the mind, the Buddhas do not rebuke, possessing loving-kindness for sentient beings, may I be liberated from the ocean of existence. Thereafter, may I learn and practice the conduct of a Bodhisattva. Having perfected the six pāramitās, may I liberate the beings of the six realms. May I manifest the six clairvoyances and attain the unsurpassed Bodhi. Unborn and unceasing, without inherent nature, without a place to dwell, without cognition, and without substance, may I realize the Dharma of emptiness. Like the great sage Buddha, without beings or life, without a person or nurture, may I realize the Dharma of no-self. Regarding the clinging to self and what belongs to self, without dwelling on all things, for the benefit of all beings, may I give generously without stinginess. Because things are not things, may my possessions be spontaneously accomplished. Because all things are subject to destruction, may I perfect the pāramitā of generosity. May my discipline of morality be without fault, endowed with pure morality, and with morality free from arrogance, may I perfect the pāramitā of morality. Like earth, water, or fire, not dwelling in the realm of wind, without patience or anger, may I perfect the pāramitā of patience. With the diligence of initiated effort, without steadfastness, joy, or laziness, with a body and mind endowed with strength, may I perfect the pāramitā of diligence. With samādhi like illusion, samādhi of courageous conduct, and samādhi like a vajra, may I perfect the pāramitā of meditation. With the three doors of liberation, the equality of the three times, and the manifest realization of the three lineages, may I perfect the pāramitā of wisdom. Praised by all Buddhas, blazing with light and splendor, with the diligence of a Bodhisattva, may my aspirations be fulfilled. Thus practicing, endowed with love and fame, having perfected the six pāramitās, may I dwell supremely on the ten bhūmis. Immediately after death from here, may I be born in Tuṣita, joyful in mind, quickly pleasing Maitreya, and receiving the prophecy of Bodhi. By the immeasurable merit of speaking thus, may I always abandon hell, hungry ghosts, animals, asuras, and all evil destinies, and may I be born at the feet of the victorious Maitreya.
