A Collection of Prayers for Increasing Lungta A Collection of Prayers for Increasing Lungta May the Prayer for Increasing Lungta reside! Om! May the wondrous blessings and accomplishments descend like rain, May the gurus, yidams, and supreme Three Jewels who bestow them, together with the heroes, dakinis, and dharma protectors, Increase the lungta of the yogi, myself! By whose power the forces of darkness are vanquished, And the white side triumphs, fulfilling all wishes as desired, By raising the victory banner to the peak of existence, Increase the lungta of the yogi, myself! Increase the lungta that leaps like a tiger! Increase the lungta that roars like a lion! Increase the lungta that thunders like a dragon! Increase the lungta that soars like a garuda! Clouds of smoke swirl from burning various incense substances, By raising the lungta prayer flags on the mountaintop, Averting the faults of temporary lungta decline, Increase the lungta like the peak of Mount Meru! Through the auspicious connection of increasing lungta, May the light that transforms all actions—walking, sitting, behavior, speech, and so forth—into the path, Cause the pollen of the lotus of the mind to blossom! Accompanied by the four—tiger, lion, garuda, and dragon, By the utterly excellent qualities of lungta, May you protect us day and night, And accomplish the activity of destroying unfavorable enemies! Head deity, protector, and fierce ones, all smoke offering. Outer container and inner essence, great purification smoke offering. Desire qualities inexhaustible, offered with the treasury of space. Obstacles pacified, wishes spontaneously accomplished, may there be auspiciousness. Written by Mipham at the solitary place of Khagu on the 4th day of the 7th month of the Wood Dragon year.
