Supplementary Notes on Dolkar Yizhin Khorlo Supplementary Notes on Dolkar Yizhin Khorlo The following are supplementary notes on Dolkar Yizhin Khorlo. For the ritual of the venerable White Tara, the recitation is based on the documents of Je Konchok Lhundrup. When many yogis gather to perform the ritual, the documents of Dharma Lord Lama Dampa and the practice records of the Vision Transmission, consist of three parts: preliminary, main practice, and concluding practice. In the preliminary part, if possible, the dwelling should be cleaned, and representations of the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) in general, and in particular, images or sculptures of the venerable one, should be arranged with beautiful brocade and other garments. Offerings should also be arranged as available, with thangkas, curtains, etc. If none of these are available, there is no fault. In front of such a representation, a mandala of one cubit, with an eight-petaled lotus drawn in the center, should be arranged with a white torma placed on it. From the northeast, starting with the boundary-holding flowers, the two waters and other preliminary offerings should be arranged clockwise. From the northeast to the southeast, three round tormas and obstacle-removing tormas should be arranged according to the practice. Specifically, the first torma is a deceased torma, offered to the yidam Tara; the second is for the directional guardians; the third is for the elementals; and the fourth, the obstacle-removing torma, is given to the obstructing spirits. On a table or other appropriate platform in front of the teacher, a vase with ornaments, a khatvanga (Skt. khaṭvāṅga), a cloth-covered vajra, a vajra and bell, flowers, etc., should be placed. In front of the other yogis, vajras and bells, cloth-covered vajras, drums, cymbals, conches, and other available offering implements should be arranged. The main part is that the qualified person who has received the empowerment of this deity, completed the retreat, abstained from meat, alcohol, garlic, onions, etc., and performed bathing and other purifications, should sit on a cushion. Having first generated the mind of renunciation and altruistic bodhicitta, with mantra, mudra, and samadhi, holding the offering substances purified by Yaksha incense, the blessings of the offerings are invoked with the sound of the dharma shell and great music. The self-generation is performed as usual, from taking refuge and generating bodhicitta to the final offering, praise, and supplication. One should say that light radiates from one's heart, transforming the seat into light, which dissolves into oneself. Except for omitting 'From emptiness, from PAM arises a lotus,' etc., and the self-generation part of 'Samaya Jah,' the rest is recited as in the self-generation. Then, holding incense and the vajra bell, pervading all --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ema Gonma (female protector) and, if possible, perform the practice of the Lord of all Dharmas (chos), etc. Then, starting from 'Bhagavan (Bhagavan, the Blessed One) is here,' up to 'lotus (padma), kamala, sattva (sattvam),' offer with flowers (puspe), etc. Perform the summoning and inviting of 'Om Vajra Am Kusha,' etc. Again, from the heart center, etc., up to the crown adorned with Amitabha (Amitabha), perform offering, purification, and blessing. The dharani (dharani) 'Dharma Rani' need not be recited, or offer vast offerings like the ocean, or mostly water offerings, etc. And, from 'Om Sarva Vid Pura' to 'sparshe kama guna,' offer the seven royal emblems and the five desirable qualities as in yoga. The one holding the vajra bell recites praises such as 'Liberation from Samsara,' etc., and any other known Indian or Tibetan praises. Perform the purification of the vase as usual, clearly visualizing the wheel, and then from one's own heart, the rosary of mantras relies on the thread, entering the vase, striking the heart of the deity within the vase, thereby stimulating its mind. The wheel and body are similar. Sprinkle water on the tormas (torma, sacrificial cakes) and purify them. First offer to the deity Tara, and then distribute the other tormas in three parts. Clearly visualize in the heart of the deity in front, and recite thousands of times, etc. If possible, at the end of the recitation, also make offerings, praises, and prayers. If performing a bathing ritual, except for changing the name and mantra of the deity, follow the ritual of Amitayus or Vijaya. Subsequent rituals are performed as usual, including oral transmission and blessings. If performing a multi-day practice, stabilize on the colored powder mandala on the previous days, and on the last day, perform the sending-off ritual, and finally pray for auspiciousness. Perform excellent offerings or grand great offerings, as well as other dedications, aspirations, and lineage prayers, sealing with the purity of the three wheels. This is a slightly detailed practice; if simplified, the deity is merged into the deity in front and the vase as usual. Auspicious! For the benefit of the faithful, it was written by Buddha Lakshmi at E-Vam Dharma. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
