Sangye Puntsok's Instructions SP26, Practices for Performing Torma Offerings, Hundred Offerings, etc. 1-394 ༄༅། །Practices for Performing Torma Offerings, Hundred Offerings, etc. The Practice of Torma Offerings, Hundred Offerings, etc., that Spontaneously Accomplishes All Desires. May there be well-being!). For the sake of protecting all Buddhas and the Buddha's teachings, Having arisen in a terrifying and frightening form, Protecting the teachings and those who uphold them, This is the method to please them, to please them greatly. Here, it explains the actual practice and benefits of performing a hundred torma offerings to Guruzhal and other Dharma protectors. First, there are three parts: preliminary, main practice, and concluding practice. In the preliminary, in front of the support of the yidam, Dharma protector, etc., arrange the five piles of tormas and other necessary offerings, as well as nectar pills, adorned with sun, moon, and jewels, and prepare the preliminary offerings of water, etc. The yogi himself faces the support, with bell and vajra, inner offering, flowers, etc., arranged in front. The self-generation can be any supreme yidam of अनuttarayoga, such as Hevajra (藏文:བདེ་ཀྱེ), Vajrakilaya (藏文:ཕུར་གསུམ་), etc. Nowadays, the common practice is to practice the Hevajra (藏文:ཀྱཻ་རྡོར) path, or the three-session or two-session practice, whichever is convenient. After completing the practice, bless the tormas with inner offering, alcohol, etc. Some great masters also bless the offerings, but most do not, so you can choose according to your preference. After greatly blessing the tormas, offer them to the yidam, reciting 'May all be accomplished' (藏文:ཀུན་འགྲུབ་ཤོག), etc. If you want to make a more extensive offering, you can place two torma plates on a table in front, with a main torma on each plate, as well as other auxiliary tormas, etc. Bless the Gonpo (藏文:མགོན་པོ) torma greatly, like the inner offering. In the space in front, starting from 'Pam' (藏文:པཾ་,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:seed syllable) etc., recite once up to 'Accomplish the activity' (藏文:ཕྲིན་ལས་མཛོད). Then place two tormas, one of which is blessed with inner offering, etc. Greatly bless the torma like the inner offering. Om, auspicious, Mahakala, retinue) etc., up to 'Accomplish the activity'. Then gather the torma. Then offer the second torma with inner offering, etc., as before, up to 'Accomplish the activity'. In this way, you can do twenty-one times a day, etc., as needed. For Shyalung (藏文:ཞལ་) and Leigon (藏文:ལས་མགོན), etc., you can also use a similar method. The remaining leftovers, etc., should be handled according to the usual concluding ritual. Alternatively, you can first accumulate a hundred offerings to the Great Protector (藏文:མགོན་ཆེན་), and then gradually accumulate them, whichever is convenient. Most of the praises are the same as before, but at certain times, you can choose one or two verses from the new and old collections of praises. If it is not convenient, the usual ritual is also fine. In this way, by moving the tormas, you can perform a grand hundred offerings.

If doing so, prepare one hundred and five sets of torma. Recite the torma offering text once, and confess as before. Then, on each set of torma, place two small thumb-sized tormas (Tibetan: མཐེབ་སྐྱུ་). Cleanse with sanctified water and alcohol. Bless all ten small tormas at once with one recitation of the blessing text, and offer ten praises in between. Afterward, with ‘Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Ha Hoḥ Hrīḥ’, make the Garuda hand gesture with both hands, display it, recite the mantra three times, recall the previous blessing, and then offer. Repeat this ten times, plus an eighth small torma, for a total of one hundred and one offerings. For this, whether to perform the four-faced Mahakala (Mgon chen zhal bzhi) and others in equal numbers each day, or to first perform one hundred times for Mahakala and then gradually proceed, do as you find convenient. In summary, bless the respective tormas of Mahakala and others with ten small tormas for each set of five tormas, and then offer as before. Other subsequent rituals are the same. Second, it must be determined that the benefits of doing so are as follows: One who has received empowerment and possesses vows can obtain the permission and lineage of the Dharma protectors. For the root vows of Hevajra (Kye rdo rje) and others, if former yogis diligently perform such rituals, their wishes will be naturally fulfilled. Because writing can be frightening, the definitive methods of scripture, reasoning, and oral instructions have not been written down. If you wish to know, obtain them orally. This was written by Sangye Phuntsok (Sangs rgyas phun tshogs), an impartial ascetic, at the repeated urging of many people. If there are errors, may the wise forgive. May this merit naturally fulfill the wishes of oneself and all sentient beings! If offering this type of offering to other Dharma protectors, it should also be known. This was also written by Sangye Phuntsok. Auspicious! Auspicious! (Seed Syllables and Mantras) Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Ha Hoḥ Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་ཧ་ཧོཿཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ आः हूँ ह हः ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Ha Hoḥ Hrīḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 嗡啊吽哈霍啥) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
