1-391 In front of it, arrange five offerings extensively, as well as one torma of the three whites (milk, yogurt, and butter). It is said that expelling obstacles and offering torma to the local deities, it is sufficient to express trust and unwavering faith with three portions (of offerings). Fumigate the house and sacred objects with gugul incense. Wear new clothes. If possible, take the Mahayana sojong (vows). Even if not, consume foods like the three whites. Sit facing the sacred object. In any case, bathing and cleanliness are very important. Avoid uncleanliness. From self-generation of the deity and refuge, up to recitation, and finally offering, praise, and supplication, perform as in the previous practice. Here, the blessing of the offering, according to the Kriya Tantra ritual, recite 'Dharma rani' three times and then stop. Then, cleanse the Thangka. From emptiness, visualize 'surrounded by mountains lush with vegetation' etc., until 'above, two sons of gods holding garlands, emerging from the clouds,' omit words like 'drawing' from the Thangka drawing ritual, recite and contemplate. Thus, visualize the sacred object as the actual Jetsun (Venerable One), from whose heart rays of light emanate, illuminating your own heart, which you clearly visualize as the deity, causing the Dharma wheel to turn, dispelling the darkness of ignorance, and increasing the light of wisdom. Contemplate in this way, and diligently engage in the practice and recitation in four sessions. 1-392 During the breaks between sessions, make offerings, praises, and offer the mandala. When offering the mandala, recite the prayer: 'I offer to the mandala of Jetsun Manjushri, I beseech you to accept with compassion, for the benefit of sentient beings. After accepting, please dispel the darkness of my ignorance and increase the light of wisdom.' If you know and are able, you can also add other offerings. During the praise, if you can recite 'The profound power of mantra' etc., composed by Pandit Mati, that would be excellent. Sprinkle clean water on the torma. Bless by reciting 'A ka ro' three times, then offer by reciting 'Om Waka Kye Dam Nama, Balimta Kaka Kahe Kahi' three times. It is said that jasmine flowers should be offered after reciting the mantra, but here (referring to Tibet) there are actually no jasmine flowers, so mix jasmine powder and white flowers, recite the mantra, and scatter a thousand flowers on the image of Manjushri. Pray wholeheartedly for the desired purpose. Finally, dedicate the merit, make aspirations, and auspicious prayers. After doing this, the Thangka may emit the sound of 'Hum' (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable), or the Thangka may move. If the sound of 'Hum' is emitted, one will become a king who rules over all lands; if the Thangka moves, one will be able to answer all challengers and will be able to understand the treatises of the world.

Even without these two (referring to the conditions mentioned earlier), one will become capable in all activities. The tantra states that by practicing for twenty-one days, one will obtain the eloquence of Sarasvatī (Dbyangs can). Therefore, after practicing for twenty-one days, signs in reality and dreams will appear repeatedly and become stable. If the signs do not appear, repeat it once or twice. No matter how great or dull the obscurations are, it is impossible for the two signs not to appear within seven times. This includes the supplementary ritual. Whatever good or bad signs appear, do not tell anyone, keep it secret, and seal it without attachment or conceptualization. Also, perform a fire offering to complete the mantra of the practice. This Dharma cycle of the White Mañjuśrī ( 'Jam dpal dkar po) Single Hero Accomplishment, called 'Opening the Lotus of Wisdom,' was compiled into a readable version without hiding the hidden instructions, at the request of the Vajradhara Lord, the Sakya (Sa skya) King Sonam Phuntsok (Bsod nams phun tshogs), and for the purpose of presenting it as his heart essence, by the Dharma speaker Sangye Phuntsok (Sangs rgyas phun tshogs) at the great Dharma monastery Lhundrup Teng (Lhun grub steng). The scribe was the attendant Sherab Lhundrup (Shes rab lhun grub). May all be auspicious! May all beings be auspicious! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
