The Ritual for Restoring Deficiencies from the Essence of the Glorious Yangdak Thuk. Chokgyur Lingpa. The Ritual for Restoring Deficiencies from the Essence of the Glorious Yangdak Thuk. Chokgyur Lingpa. From the Essence of the Glorious Yangdak Thuk, the Ritual for Restoring Deficiencies Resides. Homage to the Glorious Heruka! The ritual for restoring deficiencies is: Set up a platform one cubit high, draw the mandala properly, nine hand-seal images and lamps, arrange a vase with implements in the center, and finally display medicine, blood, and three tormas. Likewise, place butter lamps and longevity arrows, waxing and waning moons (Tibetan: ཟླ་རྒྱས་ཟླ་ཕྲོམ།), meat (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning: མཱཾ་ས་, मांस, māṃsa, meat), as well as incense, flowers, and food. Or it is sufficient to do as much as one can afford. Meditate on the main deity of the mandala as inseparable from the lama, and perform activities. In the palace of the crescent moon vase, generate and recite Heruka, and in the activity vase, meditate on Vajrasattva. Recite the hundred-syllable mantra as much as possible, perform the tsokhor and offer outer offerings. Offer inner offerings on the platform, circumambulating the mandala. Hūṃ! In the skull cup of emptiness, fill it with the nectar of great bliss. This nectar of inseparable bliss and emptiness, I offer to the Lama Heruka, and to the assembly of Yoginis. I pray that we restore our deficiencies! Oṃ rulu rulu hūṃ bhyo hūṃ! Sarva pañcāmṛta khaṃ khā hi! (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning: སརྦ་པཉྩ་ཨ་མྲྀཏ་ཁ་རཾ་ཁཱ་ཧི, सर्वपञ्चामृत खं खा हि, sarva pañcāmṛta khaṃ khā hi, all five amritas, eat, eat!) Hūṃ! In the skull cup of the arising power of the channels and winds, slay the aggregates, consciousness, and faculties. This blood of slaying grasping and conceptualization, I offer to the Lama Heruka, and to the assembly of Yoginis. I pray that we restore our deficiencies! Oṃ rulu rulu hūṃ bhyo hūṃ! Mahā rakta khaṃ khā hi! (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning: མ་ཧཱ་རཀྟ་ཁ་རཾ་ཁཱ་ཧི, महारक्त खं खा हि, mahā rakta khaṃ khā hi, great blood, eat, eat!) Hūṃ! In the skull cup of the vessel of existence and appearance, mix the essence of sentient beings into the torma. This torma of gods and goddesses, I offer to the Lama Heruka, and to the assembly of Yoginis. I pray that we restore our deficiencies! Oṃ rulu rulu hūṃ bhyo hūṃ! Mahā baliṃta khaṃ khā hi! (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning: མ་ཧཱ་བ་ལིཾ་ཏ་ཁ་རཾ་ཁཱ་ཧི, महाबलिन्त खं खा हि, mahā baliṃta khaṃ khā hi, great offering, eat, eat!) Hūṃ! In the skull cup of the eight aggregates of faculties, mix the eight consciousnesses into the assembly. This tsokhor wheel of body, speech, and mind, I offer to the Lama Heruka, and to the assembly of Yoginis. I pray that we restore our deficiencies! Mahā gaṇacakra khaṃ khā hi!
