Now, the splendor and essence of life, all the accomplishments of great wisdom, when absorbed into myself, immortality is achieved; when absorbed into substances, brilliance increases; when absorbed into places, auspiciousness is bestowed. Grant the accomplishment of the life of a vidyadhara. samaya āyu jñāna tshe bhrūṃ nṛ jaḥ siddhi phala hūṃ hūṃ! The infusion and increase of life is: hūṃ hrīḥ! Now also infuse and increase life. The splendor and wealth of the vessel is infused into the body; the brilliance of life is infused into the speech; the essence of the quintessence is infused into the mind. The channels, winds, and bindus of body, speech, and mind, dissolve into the clear light of eternal life. By increasing the immutable, innate nature, one is unchanging, indestructible, and free from birth and death. oṃ bhrūṃ vajra jñāna āyuṣe oṃ āḥ hūṃ a a a! Thus, by striving in four or six sessions, one actually sees the face of the deity; the vase water boils and overflows; the long-life arrow becomes long; the butter lamp burns for a long time, and so on. In dreams, the sun and moon rise; one drinks nectar; one eats fruit; the river swells; one sees a white tsha-tsha. Furthermore, it is said that feeling happy and comfortable, wanting to stay in a dwelling for a long time, and so on, are signs of increasing life. After accomplishment, taking accomplishment from the substances: hūṃ hrīḥ! May the assembly of deities of immortal life heed. The oil of practice is exhausted, the sun and moon are clear in meditation. Now that the time for accomplishment to arise has come, grant the supreme and common accomplishments of life and wisdom. kāya vāka citta siddhi phala āyuṣe hūṃ a! Thus, beseech and place the vase on the crown of the head; enjoy the vase water and other substances; and extensively perform joyful feasts and tsok offerings. In detail, when taking the life empowerment for one's own benefit, or when empowering others, the supplication is: Lama, great powerful lord of life, may the immortal protector heed. Pacify the obstacles to our lives. Grant the empowerment of life and wisdom. Take refuge, generate bodhicitta, and uphold vows. Then, when actually bestowing the empowerment, there are two: the preliminary empowerment to dispel obstacles, and the main empowerment to bestow the accomplishment of life. The first is: visualize the glorious torma as Hayagriva and place it on the crown of the head. hūṃ hrīḥ! The glorious torma, the brilliance of wisdom blazes. Hayagriva, the supreme horse, is inseparable from the deity of empowerment. By empowering the fortunate son of the lineage, may all obstacles to life be pacified. hrīḥ haya grīva baliṃta abhiṣiñca hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ! The deity is absorbed, causing the disciple's life to increase.
