The Instruction of Transference: Four, Three, and Twelve. The Instruction of Transference: Four, Three, and Twelve. Namo Ratna Guru. There are twelve dharmas for severing the path by transference. There are four types of individuals for transference: ordinary people, those who transform their minds through philosophical tenets, those who meditate on the generation stage, and those who meditate on the completion stage. These also require four limbs: the limb of not being obstructed by reverence for the deity and the guru; the limb of not being born in samsara by not being attached to anything; the limb of not being born as a Shravaka or Pratyekabuddha by having completely pure aspirations; and the limb of consciousness being born wherever one desires by not doubting anything. These also require the completion of four powers: the power of throwing, the power of habituation, the power of yoga, and the power of friends. This instruction of four, three, and twelve is like the string of a bow, therefore, it is praised as the most excellent of all transferences. The Instruction of Transference: Four, Three, and Twelve.
