Geshé Chok Zang's Reply. Geshé Chok Zang's Reply. Geshé Chok Zang's Reply. Geshé Chok Zang's letter along with the molasses offering has been received. Your question is: In the experience of calm abiding meditation where the mind dwells for a long time, the thought that samsara and nirvana are empty may also arise. That alone cannot destroy the previous clinging to characteristics. Relying on the stable calm abiding of mind-dwelling, if it is the experience of properly examining and meditating on the suchness of things with the wisdom that individually discerns, then the clinging to the attachment of previous virtues will be destroyed, and the power will increase like adding wood to a fire. When the clinging to non-virtue is destroyed, it will not be able to produce fruition like pouring water on a fire. The renunciation of remembering the suffering of samsara, the wisdom of realizing the emptiness of samsara and nirvana, and the loving-kindness of thinking of all beings as parents, these three, without distraction, please always protect with mindfulness! From Buli, auspicious! Geshé Chok Zang's Reply.
