Instructions to the One in the Clear Light Cave. Instructions to the One in the Clear Light Cave. Instructions to the One in the Clear Light Cave. Homage to the Lord of the World). Having ascertained the two truths as the nature of the ground, Having practiced the two accumulations as the nature of the path, The two benefits will be perfectly complete as the nature of the result. O yogi, spontaneously accomplished without effort! Bound by the strong rope of karma and afflictions, Sinful people who have accumulated immeasurable evil deeds, Prisoners trapped in the inescapable prison of samsara, Beings tormented by various karmas, Are they not all kind mothers from beginningless time? Having looked upon them again and again with unfeigned compassion, From the fathomless ocean of samsara, Take hold of the boat of bodhichitta, wishing to liberate! All phenomena of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, Are merely the waves of ignorance and delusion, Like illusions, mirages, and cities of gandharvas, O yogi, attain it with the reins of non-attachment! The conventional nature, the state of illusion, The ultimate, inexpressible nature of the sky, Having ascertained them through the power of scripture, reasoning, and pith instructions, Without distraction, erect the single boundary post of mindfulness, Om Whatever virtues of body, speech, and mind, With wisdom like illusion and emptiness, And having completely grasped the essence of non-objectification, Dedicate them to great enlightenment for the benefit of beings. This concise pith instruction on the two aspects of bodhichitta, Was given by the learned monk Kumarasa, To the yogi Chokyong Gyaltsen, residing in the secluded place of accomplishment, the Clear Light Cave. Written again from Yangon Longtse.
