In the charnel ground, countless beings reside, Sentient beings cannot even walk for a moment, A place where life is taken and eaten, Intending to subdue the untamed beings, The Lotus King himself went there, And sat upon a throne of many old and new corpses. The terrifying creatures dwelling in the charnel ground, Offered many extraordinary fruits, The Dakinis prostrated and paid great homage. With the central stupa as the support for his body, He stayed for five years and taught the nine vehicles, Having taught the Dharma to the assembly of Dakinis. The custom of that land was that when the king's consort, Or a fierce, many-headed being died, How would they manage in that charnel ground? They would wrap the corpse in a cloth, And every dead person would be taken to the charnel ground, A load of corpse-food rice would be placed as a pillow. The Lotus King practiced the conduct of asceticism, He ate corpse-rice and wore corpse-cloth. A great famine occurred in the land of Namazik, Most people died, and the supply of corpse-rice was cut off, The corpses were wrapped in cloth and taken away. The Lotus King practiced the sadhana of corpses, He ate corpses for food and wore corpses for clothing. He subdued the eight Kauri goddesses and Dakinis, He went to Gozod and practiced asceticism. He killed the male-born and offered them to the Dakinis, He united with the female-born and brought them under his control. The king of that land, named Ati, Dissected the corpse of a pregnant consort, And a baby girl was born alive from the womb, "This will be my mudra," he thought. The king's heart was displeased, and he rebuked her, All the subjects rebelled and were punished, The prince, Dharma Shri, possessed great power, He was ordered to wait at the entrance of the valley with weapons, The hunter searched the valley and shot an arrow, Dharma, in front of Shakya Singhe, Shot a radiant arrow, hitting his eye and killing him, The one who escaped from the valley of Maso, The demon who escaped was named Zhonnu (Youth). There, great regret arose, The Dakinis built a stupa for ascetic practice. From the extensive biography of the birth stories of Orgyen Guru Padmasambhava: The twenty-second chapter, "Dwelling in the Coolness of the Charnel Ground," is complete. ཐ་ཐ་ཉྲ་རྒྱ་རྒྱཿ (Mantra, Sanskrit Romanization: tha tha nyra gya gya, Literal Chinese meaning: He He Nie Re Jia Jia) Chapter on Dwelling in the Coolness of the Charnel Ground.
