This indicates that the necessity of the spoken words of the scriptures and treatises is to subdue self-grasping. There is nothing else to be abandoned by the three, hearing, thinking, and meditating. If one examines the self of a person, it is like a rabbit's horn, utterly nonexistent, yet from beginningless time, it has caused suffering. So, are all the efforts of my own body, speech, and mind increasing or diminishing this? Please contemplate. If it is increasing it, then it is the eight worldly concerns, and it is to achieve the greatness and desires of this life. Then, even if one keeps the precepts as a monk, one deviates from the true Dharma; even if one trains the mind in hearing, thinking, and meditating, one deviates from the Dharma. If it is diminishing it, then keeping the precepts as a monk and studying as a wise person are necessary. Likewise, mind training arises gradually in the continuum and reaches the full measure of Dharma. This is the sign of whether the Dharma has truly become Dharma, so it is said that this is the long yardstick for measuring practitioners. Therefore, one should learn to make all the efforts of body, speech, and mind become the antidote to self-grasping." , "english_translation": "Take two witnesses as the main thing. Because others see some of my good deeds, or praise some of the self-satisfied things I have done, so others do not understand my inner self. So, what is the main thing? It is to seize the one thing that you are not ashamed of, and with all the power of your faith, wisdom, and diligence, exert yourself without reservation, as if washing the intestines with blood, thinking that even if I die tonight, I will have no regrets. Only then will the experience of practice reach the full measure, so take what you are not ashamed of as the main witness."

No matter what happens, thinking that it is enough to practice the two antidotes of bodhicitta, there will be no unpleasant feelings, and not being afraid of such things is also a measure of mind training. Furthermore, in this world, there are four things that are desirable and undesirable. Of the four undesirable things, by training the mind in what is desirable, everything becomes desirable, and there are no obstacles or hindrances. Therefore, one always has a happy state of mind and does not become depressed. This is also one measure of mind training being accomplished. Moreover, when the two practices of giving and taking are accomplished, no matter what suffering arises in body and mind, one thinks, "What I previously took from others has now been completed," and again a special joy arises. In short, no matter what undesirable things happen, if one is not unhappy and they become a friend to one's mind training, then that is a measure of mind training being accomplished. At that point, the antidote has reached its full potential. If one can overcome even distraction, then one has accomplished it. Just as a skilled horseman does not fall off even when distracted on horseback, when mind training is accomplished, no matter what bad circumstances arise, such as being despised or slandered from an unguarded place, the antidote can suddenly overcome them and turn them into a friend of bodhicitta. If one is not controlled by bad circumstances, then mind training is accomplished. Furthermore, since one does not know when death will come, if it suddenly occurs, one thinks, "I have no other method than this. This Dharma is true, and I have made good preparations," and one feels relaxed and full of energy. No matter when one dies, one can immediately cope with it. If one possesses these signs of accomplishment, then all illnesses and evil spirits will become friends in increasing inner realization. After that, saying that one does not need mind training is not the case; it is only showing that one has reached the point where one has enough antidote to abandon what should be abandoned. The measure of mind training being accomplished.
