'You are form.' Therefore, emptiness is not other than form, nor is form other than emptiness. This is the instruction for realizing form as emptiness. If reality is such, then all appearances in conventional truth should not become objects of attachment and aversion, but should be used as conducive conditions for practicing skillful means and Bodhicitta. Thus, the two truths are skillful means and wisdom. From meditating on these two, the result is the two Kayas (bodies of a Buddha). For this, these signs are necessary: 'I give my happiness to others; I take the suffering of others.' Knowing that those who harm me are of the nature of sentient beings, one does not get angry or retaliate. Empty words are of no benefit because they are not true. One does not desire to accept or reject because the truth is not truly established; thus, the eight worldly concerns are treated equally. In the nature of reality, where there is no difference, it is unreasonable to grasp at self and other and develop attachment and aversion. Therefore, one should abandon the desire to renounce a bad Samsara and attain a good Nirvana. Dependent arising and emptiness are the same in meaning. Since all appearing phenomena are dependent arising, there is no need for a separate Lama to teach emptiness. All aggregates and like or dislike etc. are not truly established. If one knows how to train one's own mind, then all appearances become friends in training the mind. Since that is the case, what need is there for a separate obstacle clearer? There is no need.
