Merely the appearance of your form in the realm of eye-consciousness dispels the darkness of ignorance; the light of your eloquent speech can make the lotus-like heart bloom. Before the presence of the all-illuminating jewel-like master, I focus my mind on listening, contemplating, and meditating, longing for the day when I can ripen the fruit of liberation. I, the reader like a farmer, fold my respectful lotus-like hands, and present this letter. Your beautiful form, adorned with countless virtues, thrives as the spring of the teachings and beings. From the time you received the teachings like a vajra knot, accompanied by the nectar pills of liberation, wearing the crown of great bliss, filled with joy. Like youth competing in beauty with each other. You possess the purifying stream of merit, a great bodhisattva abiding in the stainless realm. Wherever you reside, that land, as stated in the Prajnaparamita Sutra, is a place worthy of offering. Merely the touch of your feet, the Dharma protectors in that direction will surely offer an ocean of offerings. Ah! Who would not fold their hands in faith? Here, under the shade of your compassion, we humble beings have not abandoned our virtuous thoughts. I offer this letter as a gift, requesting you to grant a reply as soon as possible, along with greetings. All these are reported to your omniscient wisdom. This is a manuscript of the petition letter presented by Khenchen Samten Gyatso from Sakya when Sakya Ngawang Kunso went to Mangkar Tsa-chur in the year of the Ox. It is a wonderful poem, auspicious!
