On the Dharma seat of the great sacred site of the Million Gatherings of Dakinis, upon the intertwined lions, I, the woman Yeshe Tsogyal, asked Guru Rinpoche thus: O Guru Rinpoche, Knower of the Three Times, please speak to me about the path guide and catalog of the Bom Lion Leaping into the Sky Cave. Orgyen Rinpoche spoke thus: Listen, Kharchen Yeshe Tsogyal Ma, the cave for practicing the Lion Leaping into the Sky is located at the confluence of three valleys that resemble a drawn bowstring. Its direction is southwest, where two rivers merge as one. There, a water deity resides as a guardian, offer prayers, incense, and tormas. Cleanse the water with the Vajrasattva Hundred Syllable Mantra (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་རྣམ་འཇོམས་ཡིག་བརྒྱ，Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रसत्त्व，Sanskrit Romanization: vajrasattva，Literal Chinese Meaning: Vajrasattva), it will pacify obstacles and purify sins. On the bank of the river, beyond the reach of a shout, to the left in the southwest direction, about a bowshot away, look upwards, and there is the Lion Leaping into the Sky Rock. It is in the center of vegetation as dense as dark clouds. To the left, in the place that resembles the crest of a male bird, offer incense to the Dharma protector Nagas and Tsen. There, the methods for practicing the three of Nagas, Tsen, and Demons are hidden, praying will eliminate obstacles. From there, is the rock that resembles a lion leaping into the sky. Prostrate from the front and behold from all four directions. Outwardly, it is the supreme son Vajrakumara, the wheel of Dharma spreading widely, embracing the consort inseparably, the mandala of Vajrakila clearly manifests. The supreme self-arisen Jnana Kilaya, beholding him will conquer the battle of the four maras, praying will obtain common and supreme accomplishments. Inwardly, it is Yangdak Palchen Heruka, Vajrakrodha inseparable from the consort, the peaceful and wrathful deity mandala clearly manifests. One glimpse will purify the sins of lifetimes, praying will make the generation and completion stages workable. Secretly, it is the Sahaja Heruka, enjoying union with Vajravarahi inseparably. The three lords of the family are clearly present like a king's crown. Behind the body, the complete Buddha is surrounded by sixteen Arhats like a cluster of stars. On the chest, as an ornament, is the self-arisen Padmasambhava, surrounded by the five families of skull garlands like a cluster of stars. In the secret cave of the union of father and mother, reside the twenty-four heroes and heroines. The best of people will see them directly, those of middling ability will see only the body and its image, and the lowest will receive a response to their prayers when they find faith. When the King of Time, the tenth day, dawns, if the Tsok khorlo is turned in this place, it is the same as turning the profound Tsok khorlo in the supreme place of the land of the Dakinis, Oddiyana. Prostrating eliminates the sins and obscurations of the ten non-virtuous deeds, and circumambulating purifies even the karma of the five inexpiable sins. Devotees gather on the tenth day of the Monkey Month. After prostrations, circumambulations, and the completion of the Tsok khorlo, if one looks northwest at my accomplished water, drinking it will eliminate all kinds of diseases, and those with good fortune will have realization integrated into their being. Thus, in this supreme secret practice place, there are thirteen extraordinary hidden treasures of profound Dharma, entrusted to protectors and left for those with karma. There are three treasure troves of wealth that must not be taken out, for the benefit of the beings who arise in this land. This treasure of the earth lord's heart is entrusted to the Nagas. If the treasure lord, the powerful spirit, takes it out, both will decline. In the future, in front of this place, Padmasambhava, myself, Maitreya, and Shakyamuni will be built, and the beings of this land will be happy and joyful. Those who are connected to this place will have the stream of bad karma cut off, and will come to my presence in the pure land of Lotus Light.
