Publication Explanation Publication Explanation The essence of the heart of accomplished vidyādharas and ḍākinīs, The splendor of the profound Dharma treasure, a new sun, May the fame that utterly destroys the darkness of decline for the teachings and beings Be firm as an ornament of the three realms! Gathering together the qualities of wisdom, power, and love of all the victorious ones, the source of joy for the vast ocean of mandalas, the supreme Orgyen Tso-kyi Dorje, in order to completely destroy the darkness of decline in this degenerate age and to allow beings to enjoy the glory of benefit and happiness forever, entrusted the heart essence of accomplished vidyādharas and ḍākinīs, the special profound Dharma like a wish-fulfilling jewel that fulfills all desires, to the non-human beings with miraculous powers who are devoted to white. They sealed them with an indestructible seal in the unchanging snow mountains of the four directions and center of the cool snowy land, and in the eternally frozen turquoise lakes, etc. Later, when the signs and auspicious connections manifested, Guru himself, together with his retinue of vidyādharas and ḍākinīs, again appeared in the form of mantra holders and extracted them. Here, the incarnation of the great translator of the single eye of the snowy land, Khonchen Ludwang Sung, is praised in many reliable treasure prophecies as the one who opens the Dharma gate of the Eastern Treasure, like a tree trunk. His qualities of experience and realization, the play of transformation, the power of abilities, the characteristics of treasure rituals, the visible substance treasures, and the wonders of public treasures are superior to others in every way, and have more characteristics than others. He is the great lord of Dharma who has dominion over all the profound Dharmas of the hundred great treasures and the thousand minor treasures. He is the great treasure revealer, the wheel-turning king of power, who uses all the profound treasures as he wishes, regardless of whether the time is ripe or whether it is a treasure. He is not just extracting a small amount of Dharma and material treasures, but extracting vast and numerous inexhaustible treasures like a royal treasury, which is the result of the power of previous aspirations. The profound treasure teachings of the great Vidyadhara Nyima Drakpa or Garwang Drodrul Lingpa. In the Tibetan region of Dzagyü, at Asey Monastery Thubten Do-ngak Tendar Gye Ling, Asey Tulku Gyurme Dorje specially invited many excellent scribes to copy thirteen volumes of scriptures. Later, during the turmoil of 1959, some evildoers discarded them in the garbage, nearly losing them completely. Lama Namkha and Khenpo Chodrak of Asey Monastery risked their lives to preserve them. Later, my uncle Khenpo Chodrak, fearing that these scriptures would be damaged, ordered me to organize them. I also exerted great effort, spending a lot of manpower and resources, to input them into the computer and proofread them seven times before finally publishing them. These scriptures are based on the original thirteen volumes of the root treasure teachings, with a section of the autobiography and songs of realization of the great Tertön Rinpoche placed at the beginning, and a collection of important commentaries written by disciples added at the end, organized into fifteen volumes. However, due to the damage to the original manuscript, there are bound to be various errors. Therefore, I ask for forgiveness from the root three deities and Dharma protectors who dwell in space, and I implore the vast readership to be understanding and make corrections. May all the virtuous deeds represented by this, primarily for the sake of sentient beings connected to it, and for the sake of all limitless sentient beings, lead from happiness to happiness, and may the entire Buddhist teachings, the source of benefit and happiness, and especially the Nyingma secret essence teachings that originated from Padmasambhava, flourish, develop, and abide for a long time. May all this be accomplished, and may the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who dwell in space grant their blessings. May the assembled community fill the earth! May limitless sentient beings, including those connected, temporarily attain the glory of the heavens! May they soon attain the glory of the peaceful Dharmakaya, and may their incarnate activity perfectly fulfill the benefit of others! This was written as an explanation by Orgyen Rigdzin, the sponsor of the publication, on the 25th day of the 2nd month of the Tibetan year, April 14th of the Western calendar, when this Dharma cycle was being printed.
