Vajrasattva Heart Essence Practice: Instructions for Integrating Virtue into the Path Om! Vajrasattva Heart Essence Practice: Instructions for Integrating Virtue into the Path. Authored by Orgyen Terdak Lingpa. When a yogi of the two stages integrates virtue into the path: Divide day and night into four parts. During the day, meditate on the illusory form of the deity, diligently practicing in clear light. At night, hold awareness within, igniting the tummo fire from the A at the navel. The Hum at the crown melts into nectar. Upon the drop that descends into the heart, fix the mind, and co-emergent wisdom arises. At noon, in the posture of a sleeping lion, fix the mind on the white A in the heart, and lie down in non-objectification. At dawn, the A rises from the heart, extending one arrow-length into the sky above the crown. Fix the mind, and clear-empty wisdom arises. In the secret four times, of conceptual thought, three-fourths are liberated into the Dharmakaya. Meditate without distraction on self-aware wisdom. In the three times—before, after, and in between—the arising and ceasing of conceptual thoughts are self-liberated, uniting with non-conceptual wisdom. Thus, by familiarizing oneself with the key points of the four times, one will abide in the true meaning. The instructions for integrating into the path are truly authentic! Samaya! Seal! Seal! Seal! Terdak Lingpa, tamer of beings, extracted it from Ngamshö Namchak Drak.
