Je Phagmo Drupa. Je Phagmo Drupa. Je Gampopa praised him as "Geshe Khampa Chenpo," this Je Phagmo Drupa was prophesied by the Buddha himself to be an emanation of the Lord of Sages. He took birth in various accomplished beings throughout India and Tibet. In the land of Oddiyana, he was the hero Vajra, who was taken care of by the hermit called 'Breathing Life into Beings.' Then, in succession, he took birth as Samaya Vajra, Padma Vajra, Sahaja Vajra, Tagapa Vajra, and so on. In this land of Tibet, he was born in the Dri Lung Ne Shod in the southern part of Dokham in the Iron Male Tiger year. When he was nine years old, he was ordained by the master Lhingnge Odzer Gyaltsen and given the name Dorje Gyalpo (Vajra King). At the age of nineteen, he went to Central Tibet. He extensively listened to the teachings of the Kadampa Geshes Gangpa, Dontonpa, and Jawulwa. At the age of twenty-five, he received full ordination from the Vinaya master at Zulphu. After that, he listened to many teachings such as the Lamdre from the great Sakyapa. Then, he went to Je Gampopa. The lama asked him many times what teachings he had listened to. Lama Sachen replied, "I have received the introduction to the non-conceptual wisdom of the Path and its Fruit." Then, the lama, holding a ball of tsampa and chang in his hand, said, "Don't you like this more than that?" He felt very discouraged and left. The lama said, "Go to Kham Seng on that eastern mountain top. Some of them have grasped the Dharma, and we can have a conversation." So, he went to the eastern mountain top and began to contemplate. As a result, he realized that all his previous Dharma had become outer husk and chaff, and a good realization arose like a completely pure sky. His wisdom also became like brandishing a spear in the sky. Then, he went before the lama, and Gampopa knew everything and said, "Now I have nothing more to teach you than that, but I will give you a teaching in my own tradition." Then, he gave the teaching of Sahajasambhara. Not long after that, Gampopa passed away. Then, he thought in his heart: "In the solitary forest, by the power of coincidence, May I practice and make freedom my support." After praying like this, he arrived at Densa Thil in the Earth Male Tiger year. There, he stayed in the hut of Gyagom Miré and said, "Your hut

He said "Happiness" three times, and said that if they agreed, they could offer it. Because that place was the heart of the sacred site, he said, "Then, bring my leather cushion," and settled down there. Because there was only a thatched hut there, Taklung Thangpa then requested to build a hut for the lama, saying, "If it can be completed in one day, then do it." He said that it should not take longer than one day, and the large hut was completed in just one day. Many monks gathered there, and it is said that there were eight hundred monks and five hundred students who carried umbrellas. In this way, he extensively carried out the activities of Dharma, and on the twenty-fifth day of the seventh month of the Iron Tiger year, he manifested the gathering of his emanated body. His great disciples were: Taklungpa, whose devotion was ultimate; Napupa, whose realization was ultimate; Parpupa, whose wisdom was ultimate; and Chenbu Gyare, whose power was ultimate—these were the four ultimate sons. Keldan Yeshe Senge, Realized Minyak Gomrin, Accomplished Nyangre Sebö, and Künden Tsangpa Rechhung are called the four sons of instruction. Dharma Lord Jigten Sumgön, Anda Phukpa, Dharma Lord Lhüdum, and Dharma Lord Tum, these four were the disciples with one taste and half realization. She Gom Karwa and others were the four heart-sons, Rinchen Shuktsarwa and others were the four written sons, Yepukpa and others were the four close sons, and so on, countless. Regarding this, Drikung Gompa Shakya Rinchen said, "The glorious Phagdru seat is the source of a hundred springs." As he said, it is said that in this land of Tibet, many monasteries and monastic communities originated from this seat. The branches of the Drikung lineage are countless in Ü and Tsang, and the Drukpa lineage, which originated from Lingrepa, is said to cover thirteen vulture flight routes, and the branches that separated from Taklung Thangpa are also very numerous in Ü and Tsang, and in short, it is said to be spread in all directions. Lord Phagmo Drupa.
