Geshe Drapa Ngonshe. Geshe Drapa Ngonshe. ༈ Geshe Drapa Ngonshe was the minister of King Trisong Detsen, Chim Dorje Drekung, who was intelligent and eloquent, and pleased the king. He built the blue stupa of Samye Monastery and the Changchub Ling Palace. He had three sons, the middle one, Lhaje, took over the Dra's Kyi Ru. From then on, for five generations, they were called Chim. The fifth, Zhang Se Tsa Lokten, was called Zhang. He had four sons, the middle one, Zhang Takgar, had four sons, the eldest of whom, Zhang Taktshab, was born in the Water Male Rat year. He was the same age as Je Marpa. He awakened his lineage and was ordained by Khenpo Yamshud, receiving the name Sherab Gyalwar. He received many teachings from his uncle Zhangton Chobar. He saw the face of the deity simply by obtaining the practice method of Zhang On. He understood all the teachings by listening to them just a little, and he was outstanding in his knowledge. Starting from Gyo, he built one hundred and eight temples in all directions. After his uncle passed away, he did not want to reside on the seat of the monastery Rephuk, so he became the guardian of Drakgi Nemoche. He gave many tantric commentaries. A disciple invited him to Yarlung. Because of his merit, he received the title "Geshe" Drapa. He also received the Zhi byed teachings from Dampa Sangye. At the age of seventy, in the Iron Female Bird year, he laid the foundation of Drathang. At the age of seventy-nine, a khenpo disciple pierced his heart with a锥子, which was too much, and when he passed away into peace, he had almost attained realization. The remaining small parts that needed to be completed were well completed by his nephews, Jungshe and Jungtsul. After Drapa passed away, the seat of Drathang was held by the one known as Chokyi Dondenpa. After that, he also served as the khenpo of Changye Monastery, which was built by Drapa, and it is said that many khenpo lineages such as Gendun Darma Tashi appeared. Geshe Drapa Ngonshe.
