Master Sgeg Dor. Master Sgeg Dor. Thus, Master Sgeg Dor took ordination in the land of Oddiyana, belonging to the Chittamatra-Madhyamaka school, and was perfectly versed in all fields of knowledge. In a small island of Oddiyana called Madhima, he practiced the Manjushri sadhana, and a great light emanated from the face of the sculpted image, illuminating the island for a long time. At that time, some with wrong views needed five chief Buddhist panditas as materials for their rituals. When the master came to be killed, he transformed into various forms such as elephants, horses, girls, and boys, so they could not recognize him and returned. Therefore, he was named "The One with Various Forms." Like this, he had limitless wondrous deeds. Finally, he attained the rainbow body of Vajra. After that, when King Dharmapala ruled for sixty-four years, he relied on Yeshe Zhapa as his guru. He greatly revered both of them, placing them at the head of all the panditas for texts like the Guhyasamaja Tantra and the Abhisamayalankara. This king established about fifty Dharma institutions in general, among which thirty-five were for teaching the Abhisamayalankara. He built the glorious Vikramashila Monastery. It was located on the top of a small hill on the bank of the Ganges River, north of Magadha, with a life-size Mahabodhi temple in the center. Around it were fifty-three small tantric temples and fifty-four ordinary temples, totaling one hundred and eight temples, surrounded by an outer iron fence. One hundred and eight panditas, teachers of torma offerings, teachers of consecration, teachers of fire offerings, mouse guards, pigeon guards, and one hundred and fourteen managers of the monastery's affairs were provided with incomparable food and clothing. During monthly Dharma gatherings, all those who listened to the Dharma were given rotating feasts and excellent offerings. Roughly estimated, this king is said to be contemporary with the Tibetan King Trisong Detsen. During this time, Sangye Sangwa, Sangye Shiwa, Padmasambhava Yang in Kashmir, the logician Chojung Jin, the Vinaya holder with a lion's face, and others appeared. Master Sgeg Dor.
