Great Good Vision. Great Good Vision. Furthermore, Good Vision was born in the western lands to a king named 'Vision' of the Kshatriya caste. He was named Good Vision because the king had a son. When he grew up, on the way to the pleasure garden, he saw the Arhat Sukayana with many attendants and developed great faith. He prostrated at his feet and sat to one side. There, the Arhat taught the Dharma, and while sitting on that seat, he attained Arhatship. He then asked to be ordained, but his father became angry and tried to bind him with iron chains. He rose into the sky and displayed miraculous powers, radiating light. His father then developed faith and said, 'Please ordain me and have compassion on me.' He ordained him and taught his father the Dharma, establishing him in the truth. After that, he relied on the noble Krishnapaksha as his teacher and stayed with him for a long time. Later, the noble Krishnapaksha passed away, and the Great Good Vision tamed the fourfold assembly. That Great Good Vision subdued about five hundred Nagas and Yakshas who did not believe in the Dharma. He traveled throughout the southern regions, spreading monasteries and Sanghas. He also established the Buddha's teachings on many islands. He also slightly propagated the teachings in the great land of China, placing countless beings in happiness and passing into the realm of Nirvana without remainder. The king during the time of Dhitika, Krishnapaksha, and Good Vision was Ashoka. It is said that when Dhitika was young and engaged in sinful deeds, Krishnapaksha was alive; later, when he became a king of Dharma, it was the time when Good Vision propagated the teachings. After Good Vision passed away, the king also passed away. Thus, the lineage from the noble Ananda to Good Vision fully protected the teachings, and their way of acting was similar to that of the Teacher (Buddha). After that, although many Arhats appeared, it is said that none were equal to the Teacher or like these.
