The Seventeenth Volume of the Instructions Treasury: The Essence of the Six-Syllable Mantra Practice, Personally Given by the Great Compassionate One to the Accomplished Master Thangtong Gyalpo. The Seventeenth Volume of the Instructions Treasury. The Essence of the Six-Syllable Mantra Practice, Personally Given by the Great Compassionate One to the Accomplished Master Thangtong Gyalpo. The Essence of the Six-Syllable Mantra Practice, Personally Given by the Great Compassionate One to the Accomplished Master Thangtong Gyalpo, with Commentary. Om(藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), mani(藏文:མ,梵文天城体:म,梵文罗马拟音:ma,汉语字面意思:嘛), padme(藏文:ཎི,梵文天城体:णि,梵文罗马拟音:ṇi,汉语字面意思:呢), hum(藏文:པདྨེ,梵文天城体:पद्मे,梵文罗马拟音:padme,汉语字面意思:呗)! Here, the essence of the six-syllable mantra personally given by the deity Great Compassionate One to the great accomplished one, gathering all the secret treasures of the Dharma into one and practicing it, at the beginning of all methods, pray to Ma Namkhai Ma (Sky Mother) as much as possible, and whip the mind with the whip of introspection. When examining well the realms of the six realms of karmic appearance, all appearances of parents and relatives of the six kinds are of an untrue and false nature. Knowing that it does not go beyond the mire of sorrow and suffering, first examine that complete renunciation. Also, when looking at each detail, hell has hot and cold burning, hungry ghosts have hunger and thirst, animals have killing and exploitation, gods have death and transference, asuras have fighting, and humans experience the four rivers of birth, old age, sickness, and death. Knowing that samsara is like this, cling tightly to one's own nature with a single conviction. Also, with the changing nature, whip the awareness, especially when examining the state of human existence in one's own perception, in general, it is included in the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death. In particular, due to the power of one's own karma, encountering the dangers of the four sides of conditioned phenomena, eventually meeting will lead to separation, accumulation will lead to exhaustion, rising will lead to falling, and birth will inevitably face death. One should always generate a decisive understanding like this. If the whip of impermanent awareness strikes the heart in this way, renunciation and faith will arise spontaneously. Alas! How can I, with this fleeting appearance of a human body like a shooting star, accomplish a great virtue through the actions of my body? How can I speak in a way that strives for pure actions that benefit others? How can I think in a way that transforms into a virtue that pervades all sentient beings? Thus, encourage the three doors of body, speech, and mind.

Generating vast intention and action for the benefit of sentient beings. In order to accomplish these benefits, thinking of praying to the deity Lord Great Compassionate One, thus entering into the pervasive visualization: On the crown of the head of all sentient beings of the six realms, on a white lotus and a moon seat, from Hrīḥ (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:Hrīḥ) arises The noble Avalokiteśvara, whose body color is as white as the autumn moon, as clear as a crystal jewel, radiating immaculate five-colored light. Since all dharmas are of one taste in suchness, he has one face. Possessing love that pervades all, he has a smiling radiance that pervades all. With pure eyes gazing in six times, he has eyes that are extremely wide like lotus petals. Since the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times urge for the benefit of sentient beings, the first two hands are joined at the heart. Since compassion is непрерывно, the second right hand holds a crystal rosary of one hundred and eight beads in the manner of counting. Since he is not defiled by the mud of self-interest, the second left hand holds a white lotus with a stem. With fine silk as a skirt, which is the nature of shame and modesty, and adorned with a belt decorated with jewels. Since compassion and emptiness are united, he sits in the vajra posture. Adorned with eight precious ornaments of the nature of eight liberations. Possessing the demeanor of great compassion, he covers his upper body with deer skin. In order to indicate the object of prayer, his own guru Amitabha makes the topknot of his hair beautiful. Since the cool rays of great compassion pacify the heat of afflictions, he has a backdrop of a spotless full moon. Combined with the conduct of meditation, thus clearly revealing the generation stage. All sentient beings, including myself, pray with one voice: Lord, stainless, white in color, The complete Buddha adorns the head, With compassionate eyes gazing at beings, To Avalokiteśvara I prostrate. Due to the cause of reciting, light emanates from the body of the noble one. Striking all vessels, thus purifying the appearance of impure phenomena. The vessel world becomes a palace, and the essence becomes

All appearances empty, the mandala of the body. Sounds empty, the mandala of speech. Clarity empty, the mandala of mind. Abiding in this transformative samadhi, conjoined with the vast six-syllable mantra. At the end of the session, with the sign of naked awareness, the Great Compassionate Lord of the meaning of Dharmata, the essence of the Sugata, is flawlessly absorbed into the mind, completely severing the causes of grasping at forms, and remaining effortlessly in the state of great liberation. During the breaks, with compassion, diligently engage body, speech, and mind in virtuous actions, and extensively perform dedication and aspiration prayers. The lineage is as follows: Lord Jowo Great Compassionate One, the great accomplished Thangtong Gyalpo, Kunpang Je, and then to me. Jamyang Kunga Drolchok. Auspicious!
