《Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD318 - A Concise Compilation of Methods for Reading the Prajñā Sūtra》 《A Concise Compilation of Methods for Reading the Prajñā Sūtra》 《A Concise Compilation of Methods for Reading the Prajñā Sūtra》 ༄༅། །Namo Prajñāpāramitābhyaḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: नमः प्रज्ञापारमिताभ्यः, Romanized Sanskrit: namaḥ prajñāpāramitābhyah, Literal meaning: Homage to the Perfection of Wisdom). Here, if you wish to briefly perform the three activities of protection, repulsion, and subjugation through the method of reciting the 'Heart Sutra,' first take refuge and generate bodhicitta as usual, and then recite the following: Āḥ From the very beginning, all phenomena are empty of inherent existence. Appearance and emptiness are united, like the moon's reflection in water. Dependent arising is like a magical illusion. Unceasingly manifesting, the radiance of the nature of reality. In the space before oneself, an enchanting lion throne. The center is high, and the surrounding areas are arranged in descending order. The precious throne is high, with a lotus and moon cushion on top. Upon it sits the emanation of the supreme Shakyamuni Buddha. A noble body blazing with immaculate golden light. Adorned with wondrous marks and signs like fresh flowers. Clad in robes of three colors. The right hand in the earth-touching mudra, the left hand in the meditation mudra. The two feet sit in an unmoving vajra posture. At his heart, in the center of a full moon. The Dharmakaya Prajñā deity, with a golden body. One face, four arms, seated in the vajra posture. The root hands in meditation mudra, the right hand holding a sword, The left hand holding a scripture, holding the treasury of Dharma. Completely adorned with the ornaments of the Sambhogakaya. Marked at the heart with a white A syllable (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A). Around the Buddha, on precious thrones. Attendant sons and daughters, and all the Bodhisattvas. As well as the supreme two saints, the assembly of Shravaka Arhats. Seated appropriately in order on their respective thrones. All the assemblies of the Hearers of the Great and Small Vehicles. Each possessing their own implements, all radiant and shining. The majestic main deity and retinue fill the sky. Gazing upon the supreme and wondrous arrangement. The light of the unborn syllable at the heart of the Great Mother. The way in which one's own mind manifests as the path. Without distraction for a moment, remain in the state of mindfulness. Through this cause, one's own body and mind dissolve into the realm of emptiness. In the vast expanse of the unborn nature of reality. Determine with wisdom, and recite the sutra. Thus, contemplating the meaning of the unborn nature of body and mind, without letting consciousness wander elsewhere, reciting the Mother Sutra is the supreme protection. In the intervals, one can also visualize repulsion: The Shakyamuni Buddha in front and all the retinue. From their mouths, the words of the 'Heart Sutra' are proclaimed. With profound sound, filling the expanse of space. Repelling curses...

May it avert all kinds of harm. If one recites the Prajnaparamita Sutra while contemplating in this way, it will avert harm. Next is the method of subjugation: Through the power of the profound and luminous Samadhi of one's own mind, all curses, evil spells, and anything that causes harm to oneself, will be completely merged into the realm of Dharmadhatu, devoid of focus. If one recites the Mother Sutra with such contemplation, it is the subjugation without focus. Finally, the concluding activity: All the Buddhas and retinue in front of oneself, dissolve from a mass of light into emptiness, devoid of focus. May all sentient beings who have been our mothers, through this merit, quickly attain the Dharmakaya of the Great Mother. Thus, for the benefit of those who are qualified, this brief explanation of how to recite the Sherdo (Prajnaparamita Sutra) is written and disseminated under the name of Mati. May it be auspicious! By the virtue of this writing, may I in all lifetimes, practice the profound and ultimate meaning as it is!
