Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD298: A Collection of Names of Views of Various Traditions A Collection of Names of Views of Various Traditions A Collection of Names of Views of Various Traditions The view of our own tradition (our own tradition, referring to the author's own school) is: the manifestation of the clear light nature of one's own mind, free from coarse and subtle agitation, dullness, and other coarse conceptualizations, as well as subtle conceptualizations such as clinging to the essence of one's own mind, focusing on experience and abiding. It abides in a state of non-contrivance and natural authenticity. This self-arisen, non-conceptual, non-grasping wisdom of clear light is difficult for those with little merit and wisdom to comprehend, and it transcends the realm that can be expressed by conventional words and concepts. The view of self-emptiness (self-emptiness, referring to the Madhyamaka Svatantrika school) is: it is a non-dual wisdom that is free from clinging to the appearance of being truly established. The view of Mahamudra is: all elaborations of grasping and being grasped are pacified, and the uncontrived pure awareness is clear wisdom. The view of Dzogchen is: the wisdom of clear light, primordial purity, and self-arisenness, unpolluted by intentionality and signs, the awareness of the non-duality of Dharmadhatu and awareness, the original nature of Dharma that never changes, the all-pervading and vast expanse, the primordially liberated, innate co-emergent wisdom. The above is a brief compilation of the names of the views of various traditions by Mati Kirti when distinguishing the views of his own and other schools in the general meaning of the Six Yogas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
