Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD203: Aspiration Prayer Based on the Two Supreme Deities for Accomplishing the Wish of Learning and Contemplation 8-426 ༄༅། །Aspiration Prayer Based on the Two Supreme Deities for Accomplishing the Wish of Learning and Contemplation ༄༅། །Aspiration Prayer Based on the Two Supreme Deities for Accomplishing the Wish of Learning and Contemplation ༄༅། །The wisdom essence of all Buddhas, a treasure of knowledge. With five locks of hair, appearing as a youthful bodhisattva. Adorned with silk and precious jewels, radiating beauty. Manjushri, the protector, supreme deity, I prostrate with my crown. Lord of speech, the source that grants the wishes of language. Joyfully playing in the garden of The goddesses of the three realms, vying to offer their beauty. Saraswati, the goddess of speech, dwells in the ocean of the throat. Supreme deities, wise and virtuous, a treasure of excellence. May the radiance of wisdom bloom, And simultaneously, grant unobstructed eloquence. Virtuous protectors, may you two gaze upon us with compassionate eyes. Whoever reverently relies on these two deities, Whatever they wish for, may all their desires be fulfilled. Whatever wishes are appropriate, may they be swiftly accomplished. May you two, with unwavering compassion, always watch over us. May the lotus garden of discriminating wisdom, By the sunlight of the compassion of the two deities, Be well nourished, so that the assembly of a hundred petals of wisdom, May bloom all at once, granting a feast of joy. May the various systems of common sciences, Crafts, medicine, grammar, and astrology. All be understood with unobstructed wisdom, And may we have the power to distinguish them individually as they are. Especially for the various unmixed states of knowledge, May the chain of reasoning that thoroughly analyzes, With the three modes of reasoning and sharp intellect, for the subtle states of knowledge, Be as unmixed as the tip of a blade of kusha grass. 8-427 May the doctrines of the common Vinaya of the eight schools, All the precepts, boundaries, and the parts of gaining and relinquishing. Be completely free from additions and subtractions through the wisdom of learning and contemplation. May we attain the supreme wisdom of understanding the intent of the Vinaya. May we well distinguish all the states of samsara and nirvana from the detailed classifications of aggregates, elements, and sense bases, And the differences between the mundane and supramundane. May we thoroughly understand the profound intent of the Abhidharma. May we understand the causes and effects of the supreme, unsurpassed enlightenment, And the categories and meanings of the eight aspects of realization. In whatever aspect, may the discrimination of wisdom skillfully enter, And may we fathom the meaning of the Dharma of the Paramitas. May all phenomena encompassed by conventional truth, Be without inherent existence, like illusions. May we well ascertain the various doors of reasoning that analyze as they are, And realize the meaning of the Middle Way, free from extremes. Especially for the inherent nature of samsara and nirvana, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah, the realm of purity! May I realize the profound essence of how the Dharmakaya Body of Truth) abides after its passing, without being defiled by any taint of delusion, thereby comprehending the ultimate and profound secret heart. May I clearly distinguish the profound and clear non-dualistic practices of the Secret Mantra Vehicle (藏文:གསང་སྔགས,梵文天城体:mantra,梵文罗马拟音:mantra,汉语字面意思:mantra), with their respective forms of yoga, both with and without characteristics. May I thoroughly understand the essence of the three outer tantras, without confusing the order and distinctions between higher and lower. May I, with wisdom, discern the practices of the two stages of the Great Secret Anuttara Yoga (藏文:བླ་མེད,梵文天城体:anuttara,梵文罗马拟音:anuttara,汉语字面意思:unsurpassed), including the ripening empowerments and the vast array of great activities, without confusing their respective methods, thereby resolving all doubts about the Great Secret's intent. The basis of the Unsurpassed Mantra, the realm of purity, the Lord of the boundless wheel of the Primordial Buddha Primordial Buddha). May I fully ascertain the emptiness of other, just as it is, the great intent that is the inseparability of the ground and the result. Thus, may I, through the three kinds of examination, sever all additions and subtractions from the meaning of the scriptures of learning, logic, and the doctrines of Sutra and Tantra. May the power of my intellect in hearing, contemplating, and meditating increase, becoming sharp, clear, profound, and vast. May I be adorned with a million crest jewels of scripture and reasoning, with the flames of debate blazing in all directions. May I become a master who protects the snow mountain of the definitive meaning of my own system, attaining the position of a holder of the teachings, a lord of the five-faced lions. Therefore, may I, with the great roar of fearless speech, utterly subdue all assemblies of heretical deer, and may the sound of my proclamation of the definitive and secret meaning resound without interruption as long as samsara exists. As a testament to the fulfillment of all these aspirations, I entrust myself to Jamyang Gonpo Gentle Protector) the treasure of wisdom, and Yangchenma Melodious One). By properly entrusting myself to them and regarding them as my Yidam deity, may they swiftly and effortlessly bestow all wishes and results. By this merit, in this and future lifetimes, may I and others always be cared for by the great waves of compassion of the two protectors, never straying, and may they manifestly reside in the lotus heart within me. This aspiration for learning and contemplation, relying on the two supreme deities, was written by Mati Sharma at the end of the praise of the two deities. The scribe was Yonten Zangpo. May all be auspicious! Sarva Mangalam! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
