Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD198: The Prayer for Shambhala, 'Swift Fulfillment of Truthful Words' The Prayer for Shambhala, 'Swift Fulfillment of Truthful Words' Herein, the Prayer for Shambhala, 'Swift Fulfillment of Truthful Words'. I prostrate to the glorious Primordial Buddha (དཔལ་ལྡན་དང་པོའི་སངས་རྒྱས།, ādibuddha). Immutable great bliss, the supreme form endowed with all aspects, coemergent union, the Kalachakra Buddha from the very beginning, the very nature of reality manifested as its essence, I bow to the successive Dharma Kings (ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོ།, dharmarāja). By this accumulation of purely white virtue that I have gathered here, may I, as soon as I abandon this body, in Shambhala, take hold of an excellent and virtuous rebirth, and may the power of the fortunate lineage be fully matured. The northern half of Jambudvipa (འཛམ་བུའི་གླིང་།, Jambudvīpa), a supreme mantra land overflowing with all auspicious qualities, the shape of a vessel entirely encircled by snow mountains, may I become the very essence of an eight-petaled lotus. In the center, Mount Kailash (ཀེ་ལ་ཤ་ཡི་ས་འཛིན།, Kailāsa) stands as the earth-holder, a wondrous and delightful palace of the gods, in the midst of an immeasurable and supreme array, may I gain power over the supreme abode of joy. There, upon the excellent throne of Dharma, with the lotus feet, subduing all, the dance of the great being, the supreme jewel of the vast earth, may I quickly meet the unobstructed and joyful face of the king. May that protector (མགོན་དེས།, nātha) take me as a disciple through the great secret teachings, and having become an excellent and fortunate heart-son, may I perfect the qualities of innate faculties, and may all wondrous virtues be fully accomplished from the very beginning. Thereafter, may I purify my mindstream through the common path (ཐུན་མོང་ལམ།, sādhāraṇa-mārga), with the mind of renunciation (ངེས་འབྱུང་བློ།, niḥsaraṇa-citta), the great vehicle's bodhicitta (བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས།, bodhicitta), and the extraordinary view (ལྟ་བ།, dṛṣṭi) of the profound nature of reality, may the three principal aspects of the path be well-born. The vast six perfections (ཕར་ཕྱིན་དྲུག, ṣaṭpāramitā) and the four means of gathering (བསྡུ་དངོས་བཞི།, catu-saṃgrahavastu), skillfully developing all the doors of methods for accomplishing both my own and others' benefit, may I increase together with the friends of the bodhisattva's conduct. Then, may the Kulika King (རིགས་ལྡན་རྒྱལ་པོ།, kulika) himself, having excellently established himself as the lord of the mandala lineage, with the virtuous deeds of the stream of ripening empowerments, may the fields of my mindstream be thoroughly moistened. In this way, through the instructions of the first stage, may the power of the wheel of deities arise in the stream of consciousness, a method for purifying impure ordinary appearances, may I obtain freedom over the supreme yoga. Relying on that, the profound Vajra Path (རྡོ་རྗེའི་ལམ།, vajra-mārga), the six-branched yoga (ཡན་ལག་དྲུག, ṣaḍaṅga-yoga), the emptiness form Mahamudra (ཕྱག་ཆེན།, mahāmudrā), the non-conceptual wisdom (ཡེ་ཤེས།, jñāna), the magic of the pure yoga of self-luminous innate nature, may I fully perfect the second stage. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

愿究竟圆满！于双运解脱之殊胜境界中，拥有金刚四种（指身、语、意、智四种金刚）及秘密三处（指身、语、意三种秘密）之荣耀与功德的主人，其事业如虚空般广大，愿能圆满一切众生的愿望！ 在此期间，所有符合佛法的因缘，如顶髻上的珍宝般的种姓具足之国王，以及外部八瓣莲花般的九十六俱胝村落，愿能次第侍奉人主！ 从他们那里接受到的所有教诲，都应投入到如咒语持明者聚会之海洋般的行列中，精进闻思修，愿时时刻刻永不懈怠地投入其中！ 此香巴拉祈愿文迅速成就之真实语，是应一位亲近佛法、精进持戒的比丘阿旺彭措之需，由玛蒂·夏玛所传述。

May it be perfectly fulfilled! In the supreme state of union and liberation, the master of the glory and merit of the four vajras (referring to the vajras of body, speech, mind, and wisdom) and the three secrets (referring to the secrets of body, speech, and mind), whose activities are as vast as the sky, may he supremely fulfill the hopes of all beings! During this time, may all Dharma-conducive circumstances, such as the king with noble lineage like a jewel on the crown of the head, and the ninety-six million villages like the eight petals of an outer lotus, be served in succession by human lords! Whatever teachings are received from them, may they be devoted to the ranks of the ocean-like gathering of mantra vidyadharas, diligently engaging in hearing, thinking, and meditating, and may they always engage in it without ever being lax! This swift fulfillment of the Shambhala aspiration, a statement of truth, is related by Mati Sharma at the request of Ngawang Phuntsok, a monk who is close to the Dharma and diligently upholds pure vows. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
