NKL140 Teachings of Ngawang Kunga Lodro: Meditation and Recitation for Eliminating Obstacles in Construction of Supports, Self-Liberation of Obstacles. Meditation and Recitation for Eliminating Obstacles in Construction of Supports, Self-Liberation of Obstacles. Meditation and Recitation for Eliminating Obstacles in Construction of Supports, Self-Liberation of Obstacles. I take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha until enlightenment. By the merit of my meditation and recitation, may I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings. Oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'ham. (藏文:ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷ་སརྦ་དྷརྨཱ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:ओँ स्वाभाव शुद्धाः सर्व धर्माः स्वाभाव शुद्धोऽहम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'ham,Literal meaning: Om, purity of nature, all dharmas, purity of nature I am). From emptiness, from the syllable 'Pam' arises a lotus, and from the syllable 'Am' arises a sun disc. Upon them, oneself arises from the syllable 'Hūṃ' as the Eliminator of Obstacles, with a blue body, one face, two arms, and three eyes. The right hand holds a vajra aloft, and the left hand holds a lasso with a threatening gesture at the heart. The hair is reddish-yellow and stands on end, with a wrathful expression, adorned with jewels and snakes. Wearing a tiger skin as a lower garment, the right leg is bent and the left leg is extended. On the forehead is Oṃ (ཨོཾ།), on the throat is Āḥ (ཨཿ), and on the heart is Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ།). From the syllable 'Hūṃ' emanates light, inviting the wisdom being identical to oneself. Oṃ Vajra Samājaḥ. (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ,梵文天城体:ओँ वज्र समाजः,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra samājaḥ,Literal meaning: Om, Vajra, Come forth). Jaḥ Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ. (藏文:ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ,梵文天城体:जः हुं बं होः,梵文罗马拟音:jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ,Literal meaning: Jaḥ Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ). Again, light radiates, inviting the deities of empowerment. Vajra Samājaḥ. (藏文:བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ,梵文天城体:वज्र समाजः,梵文罗马拟音:vajra samājaḥ,Literal meaning: Vajra, Come forth). Oṃ Abhiṣiñcatu Mām. (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥཱིཉྩ་ཏུ་མཾ།,梵文天城体:ओँ अभिषिञ्चतु माम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ abhiṣiñcatu mām,Literal meaning: Om, please empower me). Vajri Bhāva Abhiṣiñca Hūṃ. (藏文:བཛྲི་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥཱིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:वज्रि भाव अभिषिञ्च हुं,梵文罗马拟音:vajri bhāva abhiṣiñca hūṃ,Literal meaning: Vajra, empower, Hūṃ). Having been empowered, Akṣobhya adorns the crown. Oṃ Āḥ Vighnānta Kṛta Hūṃ. (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿབིགྷྣནྟ་ཀྲི་ཏ་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओँ आः विघ्नन्त कृत हुं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ vighnanta kṛta hūṃ,Literal meaning: Om Ah, obstacle, cut, Hum). At the end, recite as much as possible. By this merit, may I quickly attain the King of Wrathful Ones, and without exception, may I establish all beings in that state. This meditation and recitation for eliminating obstacles, which comes from the 'Hundred Methods of Accomplishment,' is practiced because most craftsmen visualize themselves as the Eliminator of Obstacles when constructing supports. In order for sculptors to receive this transmission, they should practice this method before starting work, recite the mantra as much as possible while working, and dedicate the merit when pausing work. Thus, there is no need to be cautious about immediate distractions such as walking, standing, sitting, lying down, speaking, or conversing. This was quickly written by Sakya Kunga Lodro, and the scribe was Sonam Özer. May goodness increase! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
